the next release is the FINAL release, this is the pre release cd and its ONLY for the AmigaOne Owners out there , later on there will come a FINAL version.

in the meantime betatesters will enjoy the updates like normal.

anyway if its bad now that you get a pre release (which was infact never planned) then ermm ok...

Despite the usual complaint posts anytime anything of anykind is announced I'm still a bit surprised to see that more people aren't replying and doing handstands. The actual product is sitting there. It exists. After some of the past experiences and promises made it's reassuring to be able to see the pictures, even for those who didn't doubt it would happen.

*Pause for the "Those photos could be faked!!" posts*

I am sure most people are fairly pleased, but until I have the cd in my hand I wont be doing any cartwheels around the house (if I can still do them, I havent done one in years).

There are plenty of things still that could go wrong before we get the CDs. In particular the dealers not having peoples correct details.

I agree, but I would have to think that situations like that would be the exception, not the rule. Also, the dealers want things to go smoothly. They want repeat business from the buyers and they want to see things go as smooth as possible so that people who haven't bought yet, but have been considering it will make the decision to buy as soon as possible.

It's like Alan has pointed out several times. He wants peoples business, he wants to sell them AmigaOne's.

I don't argue that many things could still go wrong, but I also feel that things are looking the best they have for a very very long time.
