This is GREAT to see !!!!

Thank you to ALL involved.

EDIT

Now it looks like there are 350 CD's in that box. (14 groups of 25)
I bet they have 5 to 10 of those boxes too. (1750 to 3500 CD's)

/EDIT

All speculation but still... :)

Regards,

Tim

I counted 10 alternations of something like 30 each which would give 300 per layer. Where does your 600 come from?

Edit: oh, and since the bottom of that layer is white and the box clearly looks brown to me I am willing to bet at least one chocolate chip cookie there's more than one layer per box.

And no, I don't think we're looking at thousands of pre-release CDs...

"NEAR the two years anniversary? We passed that one WEEKS ago!!!"
Say... to be more precise, shouldn't you have said:
- "Two weeks" ago?

@Entzhilla

Actually I wasn't moaning about OS4 coming without a manual... just moaning generally.

Nothing seems to come with a proper paper manual anymore, so i'm pleased to see you plan to include one in the final release.

@pixie:

No, my comment was syntactically correct, afaik.

We passed that one weeks ago.

Note difference between:
We passed that _one week_ ago
and
We passed _that one_ weeks ago

What I COULD have done is add a "several" to "weeks", but weeks is already plural, so that should be redundant information.

I guess I could be wrong, english not being my first language and all

Despite the usual complaint posts anytime anything of anykind is announced I'm still a bit surprised to see that more people aren't replying and doing handstands.

Hi Sbaitso,

Here's my complaint: THOSE INSTALL INSTRUCTIONS ARE TOO HARD TO FOLLOW!!!!!!!!

(You just CAN'T please ALL of the people ALL of the time!!!!)

Love the pic, how about a guy who lives in an apartment building, and has a bank of those boxes? (BTW, might want a cap or helmet, AND a Champagne bottle!)

I intend to print up a copy, cut it out, fold it, then put it next to my Amiga where I can open it and close it from time to time and pretend I have the real thing. Mine is a sad life, really.

Hi Marky_D_Sahd,

Print it out, apply sticky stuff, put on those free AOL discs!!!! Then feed trolls!!!!!!!!!! (...and pity their teeth and stomachs...intestines...NOT!)

We might make a few updates available, but only critical stuff. We're not going to do any regular updates or anything like that.

I don't mean to nag or anything, I'm just a bit curious, if you could define "critical stuff"?

Would USB, and IDE drivers with functional DMA be considered "critical"? I know I wouldn't call it "critical," IMHO it'd just be cool to have as soon as they're deemed "releaseable."

The manual comes with the final release. This is a prerelease.

Printed manual with the official release? Coolish! Those things are becoming near-extinct these days... But still no box, right? A box would look sweet in the ol' bookshelf!
