The popular AROS distribution Icaros Desktop has reached version 1.1.4 and is now available for download. Along with the classic update CD for Icaros users, Icaros Desktop LIGHT is a brand new version that fits is a 700 MB CD-R.

The new version includes recent MESA and SDL libraries, updated TextEditor Zune class, current SabreMSN 0.58, and fresh AROS libraries and system files.

Since AROS only supports a single CPU core, it triggers Intel Core 2 (mobile)'s auto-overclocking IDA feature i.e. one of the cores overclocks from 2.2Ghz to 2.4Ghz. Anyway, I can watch movies (e.g. flv) on AROS's MPlayer.

Yes, but it would be neat to show some friends that 900MHz can cope with DVD movies with low cpu time. It is a shame not to use power of gfx cards, but i see all amiga os'es suffer the same problem.
