That's excellent news indeed, keep up the good work

Hmmm now if you could make a hook so you can click on a native 68k program on OS4 and it automatically launches UAE, we'll all be well happy

Hey this is great news... I agree with Oxygenet that some level of integration with the OS would be great as a possibility for the future.... keep up the good work all involved, and thanks

?
isn't OS4 backwardly compatible to a certain degree?
i'm all confused...whats the point in this at the moment when old floppy disks can't be used? is there a way on the new A1s to make the adf files that UAE would need?

@xeron
That is a good news indeed , but I'm not sure about the other one (too many questions) but once again for Richard.

Yes, but it doesn't have the chipset; so if you want Superfrog and Speedball II, this will help out a lot

OS4 already supports the Catweasel to a degree (i'm typing this on an A4000 keyboard connected to my A1, using OS4); i'm sure floppy drivers will arrive for that. Besides which, there are always ADF files and WHDLoad to help out there...

Yes, via the Catweasel card, once it has drivers.

WOW! All this news!

That'll teach me to change my ISP and miss all this information.

I'm so glad Richard has managed to port this to OS4. His work on the Linux port was brilliant, so I'm expecting the same for OS4.

Excellent stuff, and as ever; roll on OS4!

About the system intergartion (from a recent news announcement):
Quote:

Cloanto and Amiga are also in talks concerning a new version of Amiga Forever, as well as a special version of Amiga Forever for AmigaOS 4.0, which aims to provide chipset-level Classic Amiga compatibility integrated with the new generation Amiga operating system and hardware.

UAE is a must for the new generation Amigas. Nice job, lets hope for a great GUI also

This would be difficult to implement. I have no plans to do this just now.

Not done any testing yet. But running on an A1 XE it'll play A500 games with plenty of CPU cycles to spare.

I expect so. If not, it'll be available for download (it'll only be around 1MB to download).
