Software News   Software News : FxPaint 2.0 Demo Available

IOSPIRIT: fxPAINT 2.0 demoversion completed Link
Posted on 30-Jan-2003 15:33 GMT by IOSPIRIT 6 IOSPIRIT is pleased to present you today a demo version of fxPAINT 2.0 - immediately available through their download section

Limitations/specialities of the demo version:

- saving is disabled
- DEMO-text on every image
- the demo version is noticably slower than the full version
- a small refresh bug due to the DEMO-text-effect when zooming is lower than 100 percent. This bug ONLY exists in the demo version
- some features of the full version are missing completly or are disabled

The demo version comes with all native modules for 68K, PPC (WarpUP, PowerUP, MorphOS) and x86 (Amithlon) and gives you - except for the limitations of the demo - an impression and some insight of fxPAINT 2.0.

hmm saving disabled I hate to say it but that dosn't make want to download it as i'll have demo plasted in big letters across the image and i won't be able to do some of the things that could be really cool.

Well demos arent really supposed to be fun.
Theyre just to give you a quick taste of what is in the full version, and give you a little feel of what the program is like.

If you must have this program, get the full version and support future Amiga development!!!

I have already downloaded this demo of FXPaint, and let me tell you it
is a fantastic looking package. If you have a PPC accelerator you're
in for a real treat because if that's the slow demo version I'd like
to see how fast the full version is!! Because it's pretty fast!

I would have bought the package already by now, but one thing is
holding me back from this: GIF support.

I don't know wether perhaps GIF support is only included in the Full
Version, or wether they were unable to include support for it on the
Amiga due to huge financial costs (they would have to pay royalties to
the GIF guys) but proper GIF support is something I really am looking
for in a new paint package. I've started to learn web development and
therefore Transparent Gif support is very important to me.

Other than that it really is a fantastic little package and I urge you
to try the demo!!!

This is a package I've bought to support the Amiga even though I've never really used it...
