Should this fix the sound breaking up and souding choppy, or is that caused by something completly different ? |

| Audio is still corrupted with my SB128 ES1371 
I think I'll check with another card.

Err, yes. Sorry, easy mistake to make...
@DaveAE
I threw the SBLive back in this morning and so far it is working well. The OS4 update seems to have cured the 'whine' problem I was getting before and the huge performance hit when playing MP3s has gone, too.
I'll keep testing and see if I can break it 
BTW, does the emu10k driver work with the Audigy ES? The SBLive needs to go back into my Amithlon box at some point so I'm looking at the ES as a replacement.

| That's rather remarkable! 
If the Audigy ES comes with an emu10kx chip, then it _should_ work, but I'm not sure. I don't trust the SE board when it comes to audio, so spending a lot of money on such a card might not be a wise idea. A cheap SBLive might already do.
