| Yeah, now if they would just do one for the A3000 desktop, I would be happy for a short while anyway. Oh well... |

| Finally something to replace this @o$@er$u(%|n^ BlizzardPPC with. It sometimes takes me to hit the reset button over 50 times before it boots.

| What about 68k apps ? Will they still have access to the real 68k with such a hardware, or will they still be emulated by Petunia/68k interpreter ? Last edited by Lanza on 23-Dec-2004 at 08:45 PM.

| I wonder if these designs will be made available as standalone mobos, they would propaly need to have some things added like Ethernet and USB, but I don' think that it'd be "hard". Relatively speaking at least. |

It's not the case on the CyberStorm/Blizzard, and won't be the case on any other addon hardware. _________________ Thomas, the kernel guy

I also think that they would need an Amiga Inc License to sell this hardware as a standalone product that they don't need as it is an "expansion" to existing hardware.

Ok, thanks for the answer. It may be faster, anyway. Are 400 Mhz enough to emulate a 68040/060 at full speed ?Last edited by Lanza on 23-Dec-2004 at 08:57 PM.

| @Lanza
It comes with an OEM copy of OS4, and therefore has "the license".
400Mhz is fast enough to emulate a 68060 faster than the real thing. _________________ Playstation Network ID: xeron6

| I'm not sure about the license since it does not seem to be sold under the AmigaOne trademark. OS4 in this case may be sold as an upgrade for the original 1200. But you may be right.
/me is thinking about waiting a little more before buying new hadware. |

| And there was me thinking all those years ago that selling the A1200 and getting an A4000 was a good move...
I guess I was lucky to be given a vanilla A1200 that I have under my desk though... |
