Internet News   Internet News : A.D.A: updates
   posted by z5 on 31-Dec-2004 12:55:41 (3517 reads)
Just a quick note to inform that we are still updating Amiga Demoscene Archive and have now reached 430 productions. Since the last news here on AW, the following productions have been added:

- Profanity / Darkside
- Hyper / Focus Design and Scoopex
- Das EFX / Scoopex
- Lech / Freezers
- Torque / Scoopex
- The Sign / Scoopex
- Voyage / Razor 1911
- R.o.m / Essence
- Death Trial / Mandkind
- Wicked Sensation / TRSI
- We will smash u / TRSI
- 2998z / Darkage
- Toltec 9 / Subspace

In the meantime, the logo-gallery contains 112 wonderful logos. Planet Potion is still ruling the charts, in fact it has never left it's top 1 spot from the day it was added on A.D.A. Megademo 8 by Kefrens has settled in 2nd position and Ephidrena's 4k Big! in 3rd place.

And for everyone interested in amiga demo coding, a lot of interesting discussions have been started in the A.D.A forum so anyone interested in amiga demo coding should find a lot of interesting discussions going on there.

See you in 2005

@Agafaster

I had the oppisite, no sound with the prerelease. But after the updates the sound is ok with my Soundblaster Audigy !.

AFAIK you have the insert the AHI mode string in a config file of Zero.

Nice to see new demos! but i have one problem... alot of the download links have stopped working lately, getting "error 550 failed to change directory"
like for example with this link: ftp://ftp.amigascne.org/pub/amiga/groups/a/appendix/appendix-contagiona.dms

@Tomas:

That's because amigascne has changed it's directory structure. Thanks for pointing this out as i need to update my links.

A big tip for all people interested in amiga scene stuff (demos, graphics,...): point your browser to Amigascne (and your ftp program to the corresponding ftp link). This is truly heaven on earth. If you don't find what you are looking for there, then you will probably not find it anywhere. Truly awesome work and collection.

@Hooligan:
In the meantime, Megademo 8 has tumbled out of the top 10 charts (there are now 3 potion productions in there ). Personally, i really like it (it's 1990 remember). One of the better megademos for sure. And by the way, i didn't see your vote on Megademo 8? Complaining about the charts but not voting yourself... As with any charts, the more votes, the more accurate the charts become.
