hardware OS4   hardware OS4 : MPlayer Dirty Preview #4 Refresh
   posted by afxgroup on 25-Jul-2005 23:12:12 (5657 reads)
It is now possible to download a new version of mplayer on my site. It is an impreved dirty preview #4, these are the major changes: (read on)

Resolved the Altivec problem on G3 (please report!!!)
Resolved the GetBusKey Error
Removed use of asyncio.library. With Olaf Barthel's clib2 the original mplayer code works very well (almost sure.. :D )
Using mplayer pre7 (plus CVS changes) version. This include many new features and codecs. Look at their site
Removed WPA video driver. It was useless..
Swapped vo_overlay and vo_cgx video drivers. Now it is possible to use mplayer only with filename

Please send a report to me.

Thank you.

Andrea

@afxgroup

The version in OS4Depot and the one in your site have nearly the same date and time, but they have different size -the one on OS4Depot is bigger-. What's the latest one?

Saluditos,

Ferrán.

When playing .AVI from my digital camera (from the file stored on my HD not direct from camera) the sound is very fast (aka PinkyPerky) and repeats itself about 3 or 4 times if sound is set to "ahidev(Allow mixing) or any other AHI or default setting, but if I select "sdl (Sound through SDL)" it is much slowed down but the video finishes about 2 seconds before the sound finished (timing issue?)
