Software News   Software News : Wild Flying Demo Released.
posted by Toaks on 31-Aug-2005 21:47:13 (6269 reads)
Push Entertainment gives you:

Wild Flying an 3d Tunnel racer/shoot em up game for Amiga OS.

This demo/preview is released now because we wanted to give a last little tribute to the Amiga Classic market, the project was cancelled in 2002 we had problems filling up a team motivated enough to work with a game for 68k AGA/RTG.

The Engine was designed for AGA/NTSC mode and one of our goals was a 20fps performance, the engine was nearly completed and holds 3 diffrent weapons and 4 special weapons among other stuff.

This project is dead and we release it now "as it is" as a tribute to the classic Amiga community.
We released this demo now just to show what we made and what is possible to do on classic Amiga hardware for fun.

Enjoy this little game.

More information at+ screenshots at :

Wild Flying

Have fun.

This looks pretty nice. Reminds me a lot from the screenshots of STUN Runner.

I'm downloading it now, and will try it out in a tad.

The tunnel graphics kinda remind me of Super Stardust. Shame this'll never be finished, but at least people can enjoy what has been written so far...

Quote:
Requirements:
AGA/RTG, 020-060, 16mb

Does this mean that it'd run on a 68020? Wow

yes one of our goals was to do a better tunnel system than in Super stardust.

once you have played it you will know this aint like super stardust at all

and yes it will work on 020 but 060 is really recommended though several 040 guys have reported back so far.

keep in mind.. NTSC = fastest (pal is slower)

have fun.

steve:

stun runner... yes indeed though this is abit more action paced.

Does it mean we have to switch into NTSC mode to play it or can it be played in PAL mode?

domino: no, it was made in 2002. (see info) , we released this old stuff as a bye bye to classic , all is old code and we didnt want to spend time on fixing for whatever plattform.

OS4 is PPC , this game is 68k hw banging to the max. (if you dont have an classic amiga anymore then use E-uae (if u have an AmigaONe)(it does work there) or if you have a pc ..winuae (pfft).

Shame it isn't going to be finished. If I'd known about it, I'd have chipped in. I'll try it out on E-UAE later tonight.

Great game, but need to say something

Some things sorry :)

When I avoid those evil thins in tunnel that is too difficult because they are to sensitive notice my side movements, hope you understand me? I really need to know when they are complitely out of my visual field.

Guns are too power less

Didn't you guys had making car game allso??

utri:

1. stop picking up wrong powerups for weapons.
2. Don't take so many engine powers as this will make your steering too loose.
3. there is a reason for that collision detection but i wont get into that now...

anyway whatever complaints, i wont ever look at anything 68k again.
