Events   Events : MAG at Big Bash 3
posted by FuZion on 17-Sep-2005 13:33:55 (2682 reads)
Since BB3 will be landing in Peterborough in 7 days we thought might like to have a brief run down of what the Midland Amiga Group will be bringing you. On our stand we will have:

- AmigaOne XE-G4 running AmigaOS4 (Update 3)
- UAE running on an X-Box
- Classic Amiga (Either a Towered A1200 or an A4000)
- POSSIBLY FuZion's Sega Saturn... Why? See here (Post here if you wanna see it live).

Software on show will include:

- E-UAE (WHD games booting straight in), ScummVM games, MAME, WipeOut 2097 (Warp3D), Earth 2140, Beats of Rage, SDL games & demos, LAN games of Quake, Quake 2 & Freespace with SEAL & possibly ANT, RDesktop, RC-FTPd, MPlayer playing enctypted DVD's, AmigaAmp, DVPlayer & of course lots more...

We are also bringing down various pieces of Hardware & Software for that money that keeps falling out of that hole in your pocket.

See the MAG website for more info on MAG & our members, location & dates of meetings as they are arranged, a few Workbench backgrounds that you may have seen here at aw.net as well as our new range of merchandise (Mugs, Mouse Mats, T-Shirts... All sorts).

Of course, not forgetting all of the other exhibitors that will be present. Watch for those news items as this week flies by.

If you don't already know BB3 is to be held at Stafford Hall, Hampton Court, Westwood, Peterborough. See you there.

We will also have a small ammount of case badges for sale at £2 each too.

That will be interesting, are you beta testing it or is that version of MPlayer available for all?

I wish I was taking my AmigaOne to show now as I have very latest OS4 build and many things to show, but we are tight for space so will only be bringing Hyph-n's AmigaOne with pre-release 3 installed.

I've got the public MPlayer here so anyone that's having troubles can come along & see what the deal is.

I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

that sounds good.
I hope we are going to bring something interesting into the mix. From the sounds of it there will be alot happening, so it will be great to be part of that at least.

Fingers crossed; I am hoping to get ADF files off my amiga during this week and onto my xbox so I can show it off to those of you who are open minded enough ;)

I was going to include some information on the website about what we were bringing with us, but time is very restricted for me at the moment. I will definately be going around with my digital camera though and snapping away and possibly taking some video clips to add to the website. We are limited for space at the moment, but i'm sure we can get some short clips or zip some up that people can download.

I look forward to seeing you all there!

NOTE: for all those MAG members, the MAG merchandise has been setup, so if anyone want a tshirt, mouse mat or wall clock etc have a look at the site and place your order with cafepress.
If you want to make your own tshirt with transfer paperI have the design that I can email to you on request.
