I'd agree with you, but then we'd both be wrong.

Why not?

Pure guess, but I assume that most of that top 10 list were actually MOS ports and are currently neither available from PPC equipped 1200/4000s nor AmigaOne running OS4.

But.. but.. MorphOS is available for "PPC equipped 1200/4000s".

If you had MorphOS for PowerUp and supported Radeon/Voodoo gfx card (via Grex expansion, I suppose) they would run on A1200/A4000. Maybe not at great speed though...

Sure they are available for PPC Amigas. There are no different versions for Pegasos and for the classics. A MorphOS game should run on all platforms running this OS. There is one exception to this though, which affects 3D games/applications:
There are no 3D drivers for Permedia2 gfx cards, yet. So, my guess is that he has a CVision card. In this case, yes. He can't play these games.
If he is using a voodoo card: what itix said.

Edit: Oh, if he is using a mediator to plug his voodoo instead of a Grex, he can't even run MorphOS. So, here is another guess.

Hi @ all

Yes its true, I have a CyberVisionPPC in my A4000 and a mediator
bridgeboard with Voodoo 4 not possible to run MorphOS.

I´m not so sad because I know that

*Quake III
*Desent Freespace 2
will run under OS4
and maybe with a bit of luck * Virtual GrandPrix 2 too.

I guess more mos users voted.

greetings zErec

some stranges thinks here :)

1. why do not write little remark over ever game (for what os/platform is it)
2. just curios, why tons of ppls satisfacted with sucking quake3, which was long time ago on PC ? i mean of course, 3d games will be interesting for someone, but satisfacted over PC ports it is insane :)

Its called Amiga Games Award 2005 and not AmigaOS Games Award 2005...so what?

Quote:

Because there are no Games for AmigaOS/AROS? Don't understand that context.

How many votes were given and how much each of the winners got?

The games on list are good, there is no doubt of that but sadly, none of them seems to be an original Amiga game

@Rob:

Indeed that is possible..I don't recall seeing any information about this contest on AW.net or A.org until now. Morphos-news.de seems to have an article about voting.

Given that AmigaWorld's status was questioned because it didn't cover MOS and AROS, perhaps it is felt that unless a game runs on AS04, MOS and AROS it shouldn't be called an 'Amiga' game.

Well a few of this games are not on AmigaOS4 yet.

Quake III Arena probably be the best game when hyperion replaces it.

We most likely have to wait for more games to come, the lack of hardware for OS4, problem the biggest problem for games to be ported to AmigaOS4 at this point, and the lack of OpenGL support on some readion cards, in the end more games are going to be on AmigaOS4, just like OS4Depot, it's just a question of time.

@amigacooke

Games that are compiled for MorphOS are MorphOS games,
not OS4 games, I can't buy games created for MorphOS and run this on OS4.

It's just like XBOX games, do not work on PLaystation.
