I am happy using Amiga OS4.0 Classic right now and will buy OS4.1 with Sam440 next Month. It will be then my actual Amiga-System in our home. Amiga OS is every penny worth! You deserve it!

And of course i try to infect others with the Amiga-Fever and try to get retired Amigans back to H.Q.

what mean beta ????

Mean update on CD to each SAM users or downloadable ISO, in the futur, for correcting some problems found during the beta state time, or add some drivers like USB2,... ???

AmigaOS, the last hope...

Thank you to all Hyperion's guys, I'll hope enjoy and see the OS 4.1 in my Sam although the OS been beta, I hope that will be realese free updates for it.

Great news, but should'nt it have been possible to avoid the "Beta" - Why not wait that little longer, and release the stuff properly???

If you don't want a beta version of OS4.1, then don't buy it! Especially since you would apparently be happy to wait for a proper release.

I think this 'public beta' is simply the fastest way to fix the last few UNdiscovered bugs, so that people like you can get the "final" version of OS4.1 for Sam as quick as possible.

As a matter of fact I was trying to point out the weirdness of announcing OS4.1 for SAM recently "AmigaOS 4.1 for Sam440ep" (The headline didn't say BETA) - and now a month later it's suddenly a BETA. It tricked me and probably tricked somebody else too

In all honesty, I think you are all reading too much into the fact that it'sbeen labelled as "beta". This is simply because the testing circle was obviously not as large as the AmigaOne testing prior to release, and as a consequence there are more chances that something may have slipped the net.

As the SAM version is based on the AmigaOne version, it's not like it hasn't had any testing at all. This will synchronise both the SAM and AmigaOne versions, which will simplify any potential future update mechanisms.
