| @fingus I experience the exact same issue. It looks a bit better if i change screenmode to 16 bit but then the colours get all messed up. |

| Any chance of a User Manual. It looks nice but all I get is a picture of the Earth with no idea as what to do next.
I did grab a PDF file from the Celestia site but most of that refers to windows and Mac. It refers to menus that do not exist etc.
A small manual with the keys the Amiga user needs to press and a description of what they do would be handy
It is still 100% better than the version I downloaded for my Mac though, that one just crashed and I never could do anyhting with it !
Keep up the good work.

That is a bug of the Warp3D R200 driver which happens on Sam440 boards, not MiniGL or Celestia, so Sam users have to wait for an update that fixes it. |

| It's great to see this one finally released.
I'll just echo calls for decent documentation, although that's a general Celestia issue, not an Amiga specific one. Apart from pushing "D" to run the demo, I find it difficult to get other things done.

| It starts up, it slows my system down, & the video on my tft shimmies. The whole monitor display shimmies horizontally back & forth a few pixels. Like others, no idea what to do after Earth shows up. _________________ Hate tends to make you look stupid...

| OK Guys, the keyboard shortcuts are listed in the PDF manual, but to help you get started, here are some of the basics of Celestia:
When celestia started you can see the earth, you can rotate around it by holding down the right mouse button, you can look around by holding the left mouse button, and you can move away or closer to the target by holding both left and right mouse buttons. If you want to enable clouds, press 'i', it looks much nicer that way but slows it down a bit.
You can zoom in/out with the , and . keys, this has the effect of changing your camera's (or telescope's) focal length, and it shows you the zoom factor on the bottom-right, so you could for instance use this to check how big a particular planet would look with a telescope of a certain magnification from earth.
To view another object, press Enter, and type in the name of a celestial object (e.g. moon, saturn, hyperion, ISS, sun, whatever). Then it will select that object and you will see info about it in the top-left corner. Then you either press 't' to target that object, which will rotate the camera to look towards the object and you can zoom into it with the , and . keys, or press 'g' and then it will go to that object, as if you were flying there in a spaceship, so you could for instance travel to Apollo 11 orbiting the moon and watch an earthrise.
That should get you started. |

Thanks for that info. I will now be able to have a play tonight when I get home from work.
A summary in an Amiga Guide that you can open from within the app would be nice. I find that having both Celestia and the PDF file open, the system grinds to a halt. And this is on a 1.2GHz A1 !
