Just installed it (and replying using it!). Can't comment on stability yet, but one problem I did notice is that after right-clicking to get a context menu, and then that menu disappears, there is a white area left where the menu was (on the page). In fact, if the normal menus overlap the page, then they too leave white areas. I have to scroll the page (even by 1 pixel) to get it to refresh those areas.

But definitely nice to have a browser whose tabs actually work properly (unlike OWB!). Not to mention Grab'n'Drag scrolling . In fact, it may be my imagination, but scrolling seems much faster too. (Although mouse-wheel scrolling is too slow for my tastes, but that is a very personal preference.)

P.S. I was using static lib version of Netsurf. Also it did crash after a while (had several tabs open).

@ChrisH

The white areas sounds the same as redfox reported. I was doing some testing to speed up the rendering and changed the window to SimpleRefresh to see if it would make a difference. I don't see the problem here - probably something set in GUI prefs. Anyway, I've changed it back.

I am worried that the Installer tries to overwrite some OS4 Shared Libraries like libgcc.so

Is there a reason for doing this ? Bugfixes or enhancements ?

If yes we should make sure hyperion knows to avoid compatability problems as i dont want to overwrite my libgcc.so without knowing whatfor.

Great work though !

Yes - NetSurf doesn't work properly with the old ones.

libgcc.so and libc.so are the new versions from the OS4.1 SDK, they aren't unofficial updates.

Chris
