I notice it's an update to 4.1 not 4.2

What relevance that mean, dunno..!

If you are registered owner of 4.1 will you be able to download the ISO?

Anyone knows how much update will cost?

@cv643d

It shouldn't cost anything for registered users.

Heh, the most modern look of OS 4.1 this far

I second the opinion of an iso to downloadiif you already have the OS 4.1 cd.

As it is an update to AmigaOS 4.1, it will be a free download to registered users.

@rigo

Considering that the person performing installation could be someone who never used Amigas before, the installer utility probably shouldn't make assumptions and refer to amigalese terms like "Keymap" and "Workbench". Remember that for a complete newbie these words do not mean anything, and can be confusing. It's better to stick with general terms at install time - if the user needs to be taught, teach him later!

Ah, wonderful! This is just getting better and better, and because Hyperion is now the rightful owner of AmigaOS 4, the brand AmigaOS can be used anyway

I am so happy to see this! This is just perfect!

The installer looks really nice.

I hope this list would be in an advaced option. a new user should just insert the CD, set

name (login and pre created accounts EG Amiupdate, Hyperion)
email
country (for local and timezone)
language (for text and keyboard)

Then no other user interaction, fully automated default settings for even extra apps.

An office with 50+ Amigas wont be too happy..

Windows 7 does this very well.

If you read the text that accompanies the pictures, you can see the steps required for installation. It only takes a matter of minutes, then you could walk away and start installing the next machine on your Amiga farm :)

Thanks, it looks easier to install, but i don't see any information regarding automatic network detection of multiple machines.

What is 'post installation application'?

Can we see a fresh install video showing from boot ? Timing ?

Is it script based ? Maybe in future user can add plugins, for more specialist environments eg like Amigakit or a developer environment setup.

It's very good quality and carefully thought out
