| Great work. This is a nice browser to have.
It is more feature complete and stable than any other browser for OS4. _________________ AmigaOne-XE G3 OS 4. A4000 PPC A1200 PPC

| @PulsatingQuasar More feature complete (unless you include IBrowse), but I'm not so sure about more stable (OWB is rock-solid here). _________________ Author of the PortablE programming language. It is pitch black. You are likely to be eaten by a grue...

| It freezes on lots of pages here so no it isn't as stable as OWB. Once it gets there it will rock though . |

Can you move the mousepointer? I can't (USB), and the dock CPUTemp doesn't show any activity. The window are completely grey, also the the part at the bottom of the window with status dissapears and you only get a slider.
However it continues to update the clock, the CPUTemp are working etc. I'm just wondering if this is "normal"?
This seems to happen with lots of sites, here is another one:

Yes. All those sites are working here.
Which version are you using - gfx.lib or Cairo?
Can you get a crashlog out of serial? _________________ "Miracles we do at once, the impossible takes a little longer" - AJS on Hyperion Avatar is Tabitha by Eric W Schwartz

I'll check with the crashlog later but I've tried both versions and the result is the same.
EDIT: I'm not able to get a crashlog, I don't have the time right now. Last edited by hotrod on 24-Sep-2010 at 11:05 AM.

I have to agree, it feels great so I really hope that this can be fixed. I would be using this browser a lot if it wasn't for this issue making it allmost unusable. It works on amigaworld.net, amigans.net, os4depot.net though :P |

| Hello,
for me the problem came from site with javascript use. For example, gmail crash but after passing all the https check and start to create the gmail page.
also for my http://192.168.1.1 crash with this new version but work with previous version of netsurf (of course, not the javascript stuff but no crash). _________________ BTW, what you have done for the amiga today ????

If you haven't done so, give NetSurf 2.5 a try.
Regarding http://www.aftonbladet.se/ http://www.expressen.se/
Both of these sites render ok for me using NetSurf 2.5. Both also open extra windows which may be causing some problems for NetSurf 2.6. http://www.aftonbladet.se/ opens a window with weather information and a blank window. http://www.expressen.se/ opens a "Facebook" window.
If I use NetSurf 2.5 it takes a long time for either site to process and I get extra windows. I have to hit the stop button for http://www.aftonbladet.se/ because it takes forever to load something. If I use NetSurf 2.6 my system opens a large extra window over top of my NetSurf window and the system freezes up solid. ctrl alt alt reset or power reset to clear If I use OWB 3.30 it takes a very long time for either site to process and I have to hit the stop button for http://www.aftonbladet.se/ because it takes forever to load something.

BTW I did not try the other sites reported in this thread. Last edited by redfox on 25-Sep-2010 at 04:02 PM. Last edited by redfox on 25-Sep-2010 at 04:00 PM.

I didn't have these issues with 2.5. I know that the sites are huge and takes time to render but that isn't the issue, it happens with simpler sites as well. Opening extra windows can be an issue, I know, but with 2.5 the browser continued to work if that happened and AFAICR they closed with the tab.
It seems like 2.6 are opening a window covering the mainwindow like you say and then you're stack and have to reboot.
This site is much simpler: http://www.blocket.se/ but it has the same issue. Last edited by hotrod on 25-Sep-2010 at 04:32 PM.
