I just entered "amigaworld.net:7777". It worked for me.

Yep, go to the "Multiplayer" menu, and then "Open Location" then type that (above) and it will connect you.

I just joined for a couple of rounds during my lunch break.... Tar, Bullit, and DaveyD came in at the last minute to shut it down... It will be back this weekend. Well, I got in two rounds.

Thanks for the game Tar and all.

He he he I lagged quite terribly, when other people moved
they were teleporting about ( on my screen ) but then
I was using winex!

Makes it hard to shoot people when you find them. Eventually
after getting fragged because people were able to teleport out
of nowhere at me I sulked.

Still, good fun watching DaveyD lead, then getting his ####
kicked.

I have back in Wales, Unreal Tournament, game of the year edition - but I only have UT 2003 up here with me.

Are there plans for a UT2003 game?

Hey.. maybe all the flamers could sort there differences out here?

Not that I like to drop a hint but : For those people who wondering why UT is being hosted on AW, Dont you think it might, just might, get ported over to Aone soon..... hint, hint.... If this is so, Amiga players can both join with PC Players and have fun

@ Magic 2003

I don't see why not, since UT was inclusive of linux code on the retail version.

I have UT2003 as well... great addition to the UT legacy, but it's underplayed. Needs more people on the servers, but playing the new game styles like "Mutant", and "Invasion" are great fun. I still wind up playing standard UT more because the servers are more populated.

And the teams are appropriately colored red and blue... great idea! I could frag some MOS Butt!

I don't know overall, I joined in for the last two games that were played and won both. But to be honest, the first game was just me, Tar and a Bot. The next round was me, Tar, Bullit, and a bot, but then the bot left (I think) when DaveyD came in to close the server. But I still won!

OMG! Are you serious? This is the only game (of all I have) that I play on a regular basis. Please tell me that a port is in the works and that you are not speculating!? I'll buy it again! I've even done some level mapping on UT. Hey, I could design an Amigaworld Map!

For anyone not familiar with UT, there are some fantastic maps and mods available, like the Jets Mod and Strangelove Rocket (you can ride on a nuke and jump off just before impact!)

I popped in for a couple of games too at the beginning of the evening. bit laggy but I'm only on 56k so I was expecting that.

Good fun anyway would like to have another go.

Hope that UT is ported, luurve this game and it is the only game I play regularly on this pc.

You managed to get a few frags in, how did you manage to get a lock on people?

Advise a guy who is used to broadband UT who was getting narrowband throughput.

Why didnt you run the native linux port instead? Using the linux version actually runs better here than on any windows on the same box

So Thomas, were you installing Debian and UT on an AmigaOne, or just a standard PC?
