posted by deadwood on 15-Nov-2024 9:32:41 (1104 reads)
New version of 64-bit AROS brings many improvements to Wanderer and Zune as well as over 60 bug fixes which were implemented since March 2023.

For full list of changes, please check here: https://axrt.org/release-notes?id=aros-abiv11-20241102-1

You can download this new version from:

https://github.com/deadwood2/AROS/releases/tag/ABIv11_20241102-1
https://axrt.org/downloads-aros-64bit

In addition to AROS, a new version of AxRuntime is also available.

This is a major upgrade, based on AROS ABIv11 20241102-1 core, bringing two major improvements:
* Support for running under Windows with WSL2
* Support for running AROS 64-bit binaries requiring network

For full list of changes, please check here: https://axrt.org/release-notes?id=axruntime-v41-12

AxRuntime v41.12 can be downloaded from:

https://github.com/deadwood2/AROS/releases/tag/AxRT_41.12
https://axrt.org/downloads

These new versions are also needed for the upcoming release of Odyssey 2.1 64-bit.

These are all great news!

I wonder can some x64 AROS distro be made with more native drivers plus
selection of best AROS apps recompiled to x64 plus experimental SMP?

If it cannot be run native then minimal MINT LMDE plus AmiKit XE and AROS x64 or x86 box and ScalOS Linux and some precompiled AROS to Linux apps?

I would pay for such product, almost like that RabbitWhole laptop AEON never made.

What has this have to do with anything? aros world.org is a forum where deadwood posts and usually answers. How can you prefer someone more reputable than deadwood itself, of which this topic is about?

You got it wrong. I ment you or some AROS coder asking instead of me, humble guy learning QDOS and "coding" in SuperBASIC with Liberator compiler.
