I bet Hyperion will port it, but i guess they would say that they need to complete OS4.0 first and get it out, before porting games using Quake 3 engine But rest assure, they will certainly come |

This is the game logic source code, for mod authors. It does not contain engine source code._________________ Thomas, the kernel guy

The entire Quake 3 engine source code is not released yet. It was said within a week, and that week hasn't come yet. In the middle of the coming week, is the best guess, i would say |

This question is slightly off topic, but how far away to get the 3D-drivers for the second-generation Radeon chips? You know, Radeon 8500, 9000, 9100, 9200 and 9250, with Overlay? I hope to be able to download the 3D-driver for my Radeon 9200 shortly How is the port of Mesa and OpenAL going, anyway? Last edited by Helgis on 18-Aug-2005 at 11:45 AM.

AFAIK its a linked library, so it'll come compiled into programs that use it. _________________ Playstation Network ID: xeron6 |

I try to download it from Hyperions' site, but i need some short of a guide to how to install it. I need to know if they should be placed in the LIBS: drawer. |

| It seems that a MorphOS port already exits or at least is under way...
That could be a starting point to get an OS4 port |

Depends. If Carmack has given a different (non-GPL) licence for them, then it's impossible.
However, I'm quite confident that AmigaOS 4 coders can make their port independently. |

well if they did then they will sell it or something in order to get the invested money back but yes then the sources would be not gpl.
Sounds like a bad deal right now since they know the sources will be gpl'd very soon and then the guys will just do their own compile anyway instead of buying (if its going to be a commerical title) the product.
Atleast THAT was their arguments when Q2 Came from Hyperion E. back in 2002. Last edited by Toaks on 18-Aug-2005 at 02:08 PM.

| What was good about the Quake series was that they featured a console, where you could enter commands to customise the game... and cheat!
Some time ago I was playing Quake 2 on my old PC, and it ran too fast, if such a thing is possible. The enemies approached me at accelerated speeds, giving me very little time to think!
In Quake 2 and 3, is there any console command to slow down the game speed? _________________ SEX SUX
