Release of onchipmem.resource AmigaOS 4.1 component for Sam460ex |

ACube Systems announces the immediate release of the onchipmem.resource.
This is an OS4 component that provides access to the On Chip Memory (OCM) found on the APM460Ex SoC (used on the Sam460ex board for example).
The OCM buffer is 64KB in size, 128-bit bus width, and is much faster than main RAM, up to double the DDR2 speed, basically it has a speed similar to the 460Ex L2 cache.

Following on from the Christmas release of the update for existing users of Digital Universe to version 1.7, the full public release of Digital Universe version 1.7 is now available.
Details of the application and how to order can be found at http://www.digitaluniverse.org.uk.
Digital Universe is available to new users as either an ISO download or a physical CD.

I thought this excellent news was worth sharing.
Alastair Robinson has announced that he has released an updated Minimig core for the Chameleon 64 which allows users to use the actual C64 joystick ports (up until now you either used an IR CDTV controller or the docking port) and hopefully the keyboard in the near future (as opposed to a PS2 keyboard plugged into the Chameleon):
