Today the new edition of Amiga Future issue 70 (January/February 2008) is released.
This means that all subscriptions, pre-orders and dealer orders have been shipped today!
In this issue you can find an article about AmigaOS4 for ClassicPPC. Also associated with the release of OS4 for Classic Amigas there is a very comprehensive Special which shows the differences between AmigaOS 3.x and AmigaOS 4.0.

Udine, Italy - January 15, 2008 - Following last week's preview of Amiga Forever 2008 running on a One Laptop per Child XO laptop, Cloanto is pleased to confirm that Amiga Forever also runs on the Asus Eee PC.
Cloanto Italia srl are Amiga software developers since 1986, and publishers of the successful line of Amiga Forever products since 1997. A version of Amiga Forever capable of not only running, but also booting on the Asus Eee PC is planned for release in 2008. Development remains intense on additional features and add-ons, and more surprise announcements are planned for 2008.

A new beta of VmwAROS has been relesed. VmwAROS is a pre-configured AROS environment for VMware, a reliable way to test AROS without really installing it on the hard drive. This new version features some important bugfixes and also an easy upgrade tool for AROS system files.

We are proud to announce that the full Amiga version of Real3D v3.5 is now available to download for free thanks to permission from Realsoft Graphics. The Real3D is a famous ray-tracing and animation program. The software is provided as AmiKit add-on or ADF disks.

Original SimCity source code released |

The original SimCity source code has finally been made public, published under the GPL license. For copyright reasons, all references to the orginal trademark still held by Maxis has been replaced and the project is now known as Micropolis. The source code tar-archive is a 7,32 MB download currently available from DonHopkins.com. Technically inclined users may want to read a few notes about the code's current status in this blog entry.

The competition ended! |

One month ago a "competition" was announced. In short it was about, if a visitor who clicks on two links or stays for three minutes, then the visitor's country is logged to the statistics. It lasted one month long and there is the result. The rule was that, the first 5 place's language will be supported officially. (installers, scripts, menus, programs, themes, etc, in short everything)
You can see the ranklist on the official site. Because I feel I've done my part, I ask help from you...

Jörg Strohmayer has made a less memory-hungry version of OWB (Origyn Web Browser) for OS4. It is slower, but makes it more usable on Amigas, and with less ram. It is an alpha version, so take care.
