Software News   Distributed Compilation & Parallel Build Tools for OS4
Software News posted by ssolie on 21-Oct-2005 2:18:31 (5146 reads)
It is a common problem. You have one or two AmigaOne systems plus four or five Amy'05 systems and the sources for your fantastic OS4 project are on one machine. You run your native compile and wait while your one system does all the work with the rest of them doing useless RC5-72 crunching. How can you get all those lazy systems working on your fantastic OS4 project instead?

I've just released the second audio decoder codec for AmigaOS4 what can be download from os4depot.

The dca.codec helps all avcodec.library using application (for example: DvPlayer) to be able to decode DTS sounds from mpeg2 streams.

Announcement posted by AndreasM on 19-Oct-2005 8:50:15 (1834 reads)
Patric Klöter wrote:

I was too busy the last weeks to keep my Amiga website uptodate. Because of this I make the following announcement: The articles of the Commodore Amiga Information Source will be transferred into the Amiga Future website. Whether into the articles database or another place isn't clear at the moment. Andreas and I will try to get as many articles as possible from my website. Since of this my website will go offline soon. This action includes the guestbook, the board and the mailing list. That's why I'm refering to the board of the Amiga Future now.

Internet News   "ADT Find" functionality is BACK!
Internet News posted by jahc on 16-Oct-2005 2:17:09 (2535 reads)
The search function on the main aminet ftp server is back!

Aminet can be used by FTP as you all know. With some Amiga FTP clients, there is a protocol called ADT (Aminet Directory Tool). This expands on the FTP standard and gives Aminet users the ability to see file descriptions, the last 7 days of uploads, and the directory name it is located in (etc util/arc, mus/edit), etc.
