| Microsoft has banned the cover-mounting of its software on magazines, and is advising users to go to its own web sites for updates instead. And apparently, it's all Sun's fault.

EU software patent directive blunted |

| On Wednesday, the European Parliament voted to accept the use of software patents for the EU. Well, sort of. In a move that seems ripped from a legal drama, where the sympathetic defendant is found guilty but then given only a slap on the wrist, their approval came with lots and lots of conditions.

| Ahem... I wasn't planning on releasing an update this soon, but apparently there is already a program called NetClip that does a similar job, programmed by Rudi Chiarito, so from 0.2 my program is called "LANClip".
