AFAIK the MorphOS version of Odyssey (v1.24) doesn't have JavaScript JIT...

@TRIPOS

more interesting would be to run the newest 1.25 port on Aros against the two

Now that IS funny!
A straight line, eh?

In this context maybe rather a flat line?

Sorry for the off topic, but it was requested....

AROS x86 Odyssey 1.25 / Core i5@3.6ghz / 4gig RAM@1866mhz

Score: 11677

Richards: 13634
Deltablue: 11128
Crypto: 14530
Raytrace: 14962
EarleyBoyer: 21832
RegExp: 3594
Splay: 6185
NavierStrokes: 21602

While its no surprise x86 AROS outperforms the ppc options I must admit to being surprised this 5 year old / $200 PC give 100-ish times the performance to the best case scenario (ie. spe builds of browser) of the tabor boards.

Edit: aaah, I see OlafS25 beat me to it with posting my results here.....

firefox on Windows in my system:

Score: 8783
Richards: 12673
DeltaBlue: 14176
Crypto: 10320
RayTrace: 11840
EarleyBoyer: 10527
RegExp: 1616
Splay: 7050
NavierStokes: 13451

So the i5 results are realistic

Don't worry.

But this
"Dunno, it seems cruel.
Bad enough OS4 users have to shell out a fortune for their hardware. Do we really need to embarrass their benchmark scores too, on machines costing %10 of the price? "

I don´t think it's cruel.

I have an AMIGA, the other it's a PC with a strange "linux like amiga" core

@ribdevil

what "linux like amiga core" do you mean?

We do not need to start the discussion "what is Amiga" again, it will lead to nowhere

Aros is implementing the 3.1 API and offering a number of improvements including running on fast and cheap hardware.

@Spectre660

of course the results of system with JIT (like Aros or Windows) and without is a little unfair but if you see the results would you still say that Tabor is really useful as a modern platform if it is finally available 2017 or 2018?

@Spectre660

A quick update on Qupzilla under Windows.
Video IS a bit buggy, but as tech support has suggested sometimes you can get it to run by reloading (AND sometime it crashes while playing...but it is a relatively new effort).

Also, its not like other browser don't crash.

For some reason, complex software like comptuer aided circuit design and CAD programs run more bullet proof for me.

@OlafS25

Compare the Tabor result to my main system a Sam460ex Osyssey 1.23 .

the PowerPCSPE are potentially a little faster than Sam but compared to modern hardware both do not look very good. Requirements in web will not sink in future propably
