| I would assume this board is a non-working prototype. Why? Well, it sure is now. All that ESD from the carpet sure kills the best components.. :/
Otherwise it looks good, the bad parts have already been listed here - no serial, no IDE-sockets, etc, but for a rough prototype it looks good.
Let's hope you get it out and fix that license. |

Yes you "assume" right. But, One should never "assume" anything. "Ass-uming" makes an "ASS" out of ones own self. _________________ Sam460 The Red One 1.2GHZ 2GB DDR 500GBHDOs4.1 UP6 Sam440ep 667mhz 150GB HD AmigaOS4.1 (Retired) Windows 7/Ubuntu 64BIT Half / 4TB HD 2X SSD 16GB DDR iMac 27" 1TB/Fusion Drive 16GB DDR 2GB Nvidia MacOsX Late 2012 Model

Well, that would need some kind of special configuration in Uboot. To have it send the output to another device than ttyS0. No idea if Uboot supports sending it to USB. Any Uboot developer around? |

It's got nothing to do with U-Boot. All the serial output from OS4 goes through OS4 drivers, there is no U-Boot code in sight once OS4 has booted.
The easiest way to capture debug output is to use Sashimi, which can write it to a file, or to a USB memory stick, or whatever . . . _________________ cheers tony

| Could anyone email me the pictures?
I live in China now, and for some reason the Troika website isn't accessible out here (just like wikipedia bbc news etc, I have no idea why these sites are blocked)
my email address is noted in my profile; thanks very much Ross Last edited by ross22 on 16-Sep-2006 at 07:59 AM.

| tonyw: Well, for embedded development and all that I would really be able to work with it headless, which means Uboot must support the USB-Serial nullmodem cable as well. |

| Thanks for the pictures, but there is one thing I noticed. The name Amy '05 and Prometheus have been covered by the USB connectors. Why put the text up here when there is plenty of room below the memory slots? Now it's called Amy '0 |

They changed it. It used to be 750FX but I guess they listened to the users and did a upgrade. Too bad they didn't change it to a G4 instead. I guess it would have been too much work.. Last edited by Samwel on 16-Sep-2006 at 08:50 AM.

Note that it's a prototype board. The final consumer board will probably be much nicer. _________________ /Harry
