@Hyperion

What is the next major hurdle (as you see it) which will need to be overcome for OS4.1? Multi-user? Memory protection? Something else?

How close is the original Amiga, Inc. OS4 roadmap to the actual project plan?

How Hi is the Chinese man who runs my local takeaway.

If you are to take onboard the ongoing development of OS4 (i.e. it becomes your core business, which presumably at the minute it is...) would you consider changing your name, or perhaps setting up a distinct business unit to move the focus (or at least the impression of a focus) away from "entertainment"?

For how long do you hold the rights for OS4 development? Is it "forever", or a fixed period of time? Or up to a certain point release (e.g. OS4.5), or perhaps once AmigaAnywhere is fully integrated?

What product most helped the project along (obviously except electricity!) - i.e. what food/drink kept the developers and testers going?

Have you kept up the tradition of using codenames, and embedding easter eggs? If so, can you share any of them with us?

Which OS (single or plural, I suppose) has given you the most cause for concern and/or inspiration (regarding features, popularity, changes, etc.)? For example, have you seen some of the changes made to MacOS X, and thought "Hey - that's a good idea; let's see if we can do something similar!"

More coming up...

Like that one. Some good questions there, Orgin.

@Hyperion

As we have been repeatedly reminded recently, you cannot release OS4 for any machine/device other than an Eyetech branded AmigaOne, unless you have a licence/permission from Amiga Inc. HyperionMP recently suggested OS4 will be ported to a CELL based device. Who has paid for the licence for this port?

1. If *YOU* owned AmigaOS (not Hyperion as a business entity, but YOU personally) what would you do with it? What would you put in it? Would it still be PPC? Would you have taken the same development approach as you have already?

2. If you had a team of 40 full time developers and about $20 million, what would amigaOS look like? What features would it have? What do you wish AmigaOS would be like?

This should be 20 Questions for Hyperion

It seems we already found the 20 questions we need. Question of drHirudo and Orgin on the first page are pretty acurate to what Amigans want to know.

"suggested" so there wasn't an announce so things can change.
"will" so it's not started yet, so any licence has probably not been purchased yet.
Just a guess of course.

@Hyperion

- How many parties have obtained a license to get OS4 ported?

- No matter how much effort previous interviewees have put into answering the questions this community fired at them, in hindsight some of those answers needed a bit more clarification. Would you agree to a follow-up to address answers that lead to unnecessary speculation on our part?

- Very recently the possibility of a port to a Cell-based device has been mentioned. How should we interpret this? Just as a statement that it's technically possible, or is there more to this statement?

- I recently was on a business-trip to Vienna (not Amiga related alas). More or less by coincidence I found myself walking over the Friedensgasse at some point. Did you guys ever expect to get that much recognition for your work?

Okay, here's a question:
Given that God is infinite, and that the universe is also infinite...when will OS4 be released?

Sorry...

How about a 20 questions with Elbox instead? I don't think we are gonna learn much that we dont already know from the Friedens about AmigaOS4.

Edit: Removed ACK. -_-

Well I emailed them that very idea, i.e. 20 Questions with them, strangely enough not a peep out of them, still they are always happy to send in all their special offers to us on a regular basis.

If I hear from them, I'll let you all know

Mikey C
