| Does anyone know where there are presentations of the product including a picture or two of the box or the new features so that I could use it on our web page?
The things that are on the URL in the press release says nothing about IFXS4.5. And yeah, are the press releases online somewhere for future reference? _________________ Nicolas Mendoza

No, but the share of PowerPC native effects is steadily increasing since some time. (And even more PPC native effects are available in this new version, if I read it right) JIT emulation alone is a huge boost to everything in ImageFX compared to 68K machines. |

| Well this is good news indeed.
Much of my computer activity is graphic and animation centered. I wasn't sure ImageFX was going to be made available for AOS4.
Anyone have information on any 3D software? (Come on NewTek!)

I've been a big fan of IFX for years, however, I take it this is not a native OS4 version they're talking about.
I'll certainly look into upgrading as I hope sales of IFX for AmigaOS might encourage Nova to do a fully OS4.x native version in the future.
I'm glad IFX is back :)

| Same here, I'm really tempted to buy it but... I would advise anyone that is buying it to use it on future machines to WAIT till it's official. Of course, if you don't mind runing it on the Classic, or through 68k emulation it' alright... _________________

| If you go the Press Releases on our web site you will see the information for ImageFX Studio 4.5 and Aladdin 4D on CD.

I think it's important to realise that the main part of IFX is 68k code. Right now, only a handful of (CPU intensive) plugins are PPC native. Quote:

Same here. I already own 4.5 but just to be able to get the PPC modules for this price is a must-have, never mind the fact of having all the other stuff as well. I placed my order today. Hopefully, due to it's modularity, IFX could be ported across piece-by-piece, with a small charge for each update (powerstationII etc). This will obviously be very dependant on people upgrading or buying it for the first time.

ps: Anyone buying it for the first time, or even for those owners who dont know, don't forget to join the mailing list. There are a lot of helpful and informative people there. Details on the Nova Design website.
