good news!

Downloading now, but please remind me just how do you burn a ISO image? I had to turn on my Window 2000 for the nice reliable NeroBurn to make my AmigaOS final CD.
Edited to add, looks quite a but different to the old one, I shall, investigate
!

stephen:

It looks the same here, but i always used the skins so.

Well the only thing thats missing in this version (it seems) is the led's and the startup and close pictures.

As to burning a iso, i always used MakeCD for that but i always created bin+cue iso's with Fryingpan (to be used in FPSE).

Congrats! Nice work!

Is the OS4 native version supports the big (>4Gb) files now?

To burn ISO, you just need to add the ISO image file to the "Data/Audio Tracks" tab, under tracks section. Then, go to write, choose "cooked image," and click on "write."

At least this was the way it worked in version 0.41. I guess the same should apply to this version 1.0 too. Except, the "cooked image" button is not in the "write" section anymore, so it may be automatic now.

After configuring, then restarting, I get "Atapi.device is not know and may cause errors".

In Settings, the "Export sessions as" selector is empty, and "Find DOS device" does nothing.

In Tracks / Data/Audio Tracks selecting anything causes "Assertion failed, reghook!=NULL, Occurence:Track.cpp Line 24" then crashes.

I tried to contact Tomasz before this release with questions about the program and registering, and got no reply

Hmm, looks dodgy to me! Well if I can get the demo working better I might be tempted.

Is that "reghook" error to do with not being registered?

What exactly are the limitations of the demo?

Any news yet on possibilities of burning DVDs on classics with standard IDE (NOT fastata / powerflyer) This question is still unanswered. Could a registered user do some testing?

Cheers

Can a small change be made in the OS4 install script?

The default drawer is set to sys:tools which no longer exists as standard on OS4 final, please change it to sys:utilities

It installed to Utilities by defalt on my install.

re: harmful aiide device, have a look in sys:utilities/fryingpan/env/fryingpan/Optical.prefs

Where there's a file which describes what's harmful, including the standard CD location!

No I don't understand that one either...!

Still havn't burnt a cd, well, I don't do that much burning these days to be honest, but the program starts up dead fast, and the interface is cleaner that the old one

Well tried it, added the folders to ISO builder, and much to my suprise it burnt a CD, I was searching for a something.iso to be created!

Fast as well, good!

but it did come up with some error messages when I tried to add some folders to data/Audio tracks and crashed out the computer.

bad!
