Amiga Announces New Line of Consumer Applications

Amiga Cool Tools available for under $ 2.00
Snowman Maker, Tip Calculator and TipIt are first in the new line of products

All available at www.shopamiga.com

Issaquah, Wash. - December 12, 2008 – Amiga, Inc. announces a new line of consumer friendly applications built on AmigaAnywhere technology that enables the quick development and deployment of applications and services for supported hardware and software platforms.

Amiga is now offering Snowman Maker, Tip Calculators and TipIT for Windows devices for only .99 each. These are the first in a new line of accessible easy to use products, that everyone can use and enjoy.

Snowman Maker provides an entertaining interface that allows the user to create their own custom Greeting card directly on their Windows Mobile phone and then mailing that custom card directly from their phone to any other device that supports MMS messaging. Snowman Maker makes giving cards fun and easy.

Tip Calculator takes the guess work out of what to leave for your tip. Simply type in the amount of your bill, and Tip Calculator takes care of the rest. Immediately select from one of the levels and the amount and total are right there ready to apply to the bill. Now you will never have to worry about what the correct amount should be.

TipIt provides a simple and easy way to calculate tips for not only your server at the restaurant, but cab fares and everywhere else you may want to know what the correct amount should be.

Amiga will be offering several other new Cool Tool applications in the coming weeks that will provide fun and friendly applications that everyone can enjoy.

I guess this means AInc thinks AA2 is stable enough to release product too.

As they say this is just the begining..

I wonder if they will release some qualify software shortly.

Absolutely astounding !
This must become the success, where AmigaOS 5, the new PowerPC-quadcore hyperthing and all the rest is based on.

I always wonder why Mr. Kouri refuses to get rid once and for all of this incredible waste of money.

Sorry guys, I just don't understand what an "announcement" like this was made for.

EDITED, too harsh.

When you get past the "we all hat amiga thing" selling simple entertaining tools for trivial prices might not be such a bad business model, especially if they are easy to install etc, whether amiga can actually pull it off is another matter...

Apart from old Amiga games running in UAE? I wonder how this differs to just running UAE on all this Microsoft crap?

Wait I've worked out what AA/OS5 is! It's a version of UAE that's made to work on every Microsoft enabled PC and device there is! Amiiga Inc, what an insult to the Amiga! When Jay said Commodore should work with Microsoft I'm sure he didn't intend for Amiga to jump into bed with them!

What a blow for us real Amiga users. The company officially behind the Amiga name turned into a PC software company that makes software for Windows.

Abomination I tell you! Amiga, I gve up.

Someone should review them and ask if they ever release anything (positive) Amiga (the OS) related.
AA2 player and SDK for AOS4 perhaps?
Sensible partnership with AOS4 creators?
Thermal nuclear blast @ AmigaInc office?

Wow finally I can work out how much to tip Amiga Inc for all its great efforts and work it has done for the Amiga community.

Sure, but this has zero-to-nothing relevance to the IP they have acquired.

Actually, in the context of the product they (try to) sell I don't think the Amiga brand helps improving their business performance at all: unless somebody believes that the number of TipCalculators sold would be completely different if their company name was still Amino (or whatever), that is.

Of course owning the Amiga brand gives them LOTS of visibility compared to "Amino", but I don't think it goes much further than that...

I think, that even AA2 player and SDK for AOS4 would not help anything for AOS4...

> finally I can work out how much to tip Amiga Inc for all its great efforts

I fear, that is not even worh $ 0.99

Oy; listen to you lot.

• If Amiga Inc. say nothing, you jump on them for that.

• If Amiga Inc. announce something great and glorious, you jump on them for that.

• If Amiga Inc. announce something minor like this, you jump on them for that....

There's just no pleasing some people.
