So I just tested this in IBrowse. First I noticed that I had been logged out and it had forgot my login. No doubt due to HTTPS and/or other changes. I was able to log back in fine.

I just spent time browsing forums and posting. It all seems to be working fine here over SSL so this is good. Note that I am running it on OS4 and AmiSSL is up to date.

The only issue I have encountered so far is speed. I thought my net speed had dropped but tested it as being fine. So page loads do have a bit of lag. It takes ages to load all the little emoticons and other things. Hopefully they can be cached. It's like being on dial up again. LOL.

Perhaps this a reminder that I shouldn't be using an emukated 68K browser. I really should be using Odyssey or the like. Old habits eh. I mean, I could make up a meme, that would apply to me.

Happy to hear it still works with iBrowse, wonder if that is also valid for OS 3.9, does 3.9 have an up to date enough AmiSSL to browse the site without warnings or errors?

AmiSSL 4.2 is available for 68K also from Aminet. So if that is installed it should be fine.

Another work-around is to install a proxy (nginx on Linux, BSD, whatever) server on your LAN that can do the "heavy lifting" of modern SSL (and for that matter, IPv6), while presenting an old fashioned lightweight legacy SSL "*" (star - valid for "everything", valid from 1-Jan-1978 through 19-Jan-2046, haha!) certificate to your Amiga browser (on which you have installed the old legacy SSL CA certificate which the above was signed with). I say "on your LAN", because (for rather obvious security reasons) you want the proxy as close to your Amiga browser as you can - I use Raspberry Pi Zero, which not only is the proxy, it is also the NAT router and gateway for the Amiga.

Could you offer RSS feeds in plain HTTP still, please? Transition to HTTPS broke them on many RSS readers which don't support secure connections.

Many other sites make an exception with RSS feeds and still provide them in HTTP. For example Amiga Future, MorphZone, and some other Amiga related sites provide HTTP links for them.

Speaking of proxies, I managed to recover the code for the amiga.org old browser proxy.

In the event that it comes back as the same site under https, it should be trivial to modify the curl behaviour to have it retrieve https from the site but serve non https if old browsers don't like it. Since the only information it stores are temporary session cookies, I can see no meaningful GDPR issues.

Yes, IBrowse 2.4 + AmiSSL 3.x is enough, as long as TLS is enabled as detailed. I tested it and it works fine.

It should be noted that AmiSSL 4.x will not get used by IBrowse 2.4, even if installed, as the OpenSSL API is different. IBrowse 2.5 will of course be using AmiSSL 4.x (no AmiSSL 3.x or MiamiSSL).
