IntuitionBase.com updated, new articles, new features and a plea |
| Internet News posted by Ryu on 21-Dec-2005 23:49:00 (2605 reads) |
Finally after many months of server trouble things are now back on track, and we have a bit of an update for you just in time for the festive season:
-The Unofficial µA1 Handbook has been updated and translated into Swedish. Thanks go to Jonathan and Harry Samwel -Added a crude search function to the site with the help of Google. -Added a translate tool from AltaVista, let me know if this feature is useful, if not I'll remove it again. -Hegis's A1XE-G4 article is finally online, thanks to Helgis for that and sorry about the delay.

E3B and individual Computers EU business continues |
| hardware OS4 posted by CD32freak on 21-Dec-2005 21:09:14 (2089 reads) |
The best news at the beginning: E3B and individual Computers continue selling hardware in the EU. We want to thank everyone who sent us eMails with suggestions, mostly trying to circumvent the new law, but also with information on how to start a company in another country. Unfortunately, all this doesn't help, because the law also applies to companies outside Germany who want to sell their products in Germany.
To fully comply with the law, E3B and individual Computers founded the label "ConBridge" which is now registered with the Stiftung EAR, despite legal problems that are not fully resolved. Read more on the common webseite www.conbridge.de (German language only).

For those of you who crunch RC5 or OGR on your spare time, I've now set up a statistics generator. It keeps track of who submits blocks, what OS they were using and much more. It makes nice graphs of the submitted blocks it has received so far and is meant mainly for people crunching with AmigaOS.
We also offer email mangling, and substituting your email with a nick, should you be better known by that nick. Go here to read more about it and check out the graphs, the "by email" and "by OS" links especially.
Have fun competing with your friends in the community!

GNU m4-1.4.4 ported on and to AmigaOS4 |
| Software News posted by hnl_dk on 21-Dec-2005 19:25:08 (3448 reads) |
GNU `m4' is an implementation of the traditional Unix macro processor. It is mostly SVR4 compatible, although it has some extensions (for example, handling more than 9 positional parameters to macros). `m4' also has built-in functions for including files, running shell commands, doing arithmetic, etc. Autoconf needs GNU `m4' for generating `configure' scripts, but not for running them.
For more information about m4 itself, read the README file included in the archive, or look at this website: http://www.gnu.org/software/m4/
