An improved AmiBlitz2 distribution is now available for download. Because of the large number of changes made, and their increased size, an update archive for installing over an earlier distribution doesn't make sense anymore. Update archives will however be available with the next version.
Unfortunately, many things were missing in the last distribution. Thanks to Marco Möring aka Blackbird without whom the bugs and incompleteness of that distribution would probably never have been noticed. Next to Marco my thanks go to his wife Margit Möring. Together we three translated further guides into German. Thanks go of course to Bernd Rösch and Thilo Köhler who worked without a break on the future of AmiBlitz2.

Our server's harddrive had developed lots of damaged blocks, this caused the server to crash and corrupt lots of data, luckily most of these corrupted files were system files and not website or database files, the site had only lost some avatar images.
It took our server provider Server4you.com 34 hours to replace the broken harddrive, we could have been online with in 4 to 5 hours had support been quicker to respond, I am now looking for some sort of compensation from them for the downtime.
A big thank you to Sibbi for his help in backing up and restoring the files and services.
(Not all sub sites, email accounts etc are up yet. And there's some server tweaking that needs to be done. So bear with us while we get things sorted)

Could all members please vote in the poll on the right, this will help aid in our decision on whether to move to a dedicated server in Europe.
A European server will mean a more reliable connection and better ping times for our European members.
