Thanks to Hyperion for agreeing to this

1. How's the port of Realsoft 3D going?

2. Some of the other questions have mentioned limitations to AmigaOS, like the lack of memory protection. Do you think that this type of functionality can be built onto AmigaOS in the future, or whether a completely new design will be needed (like the transition from MacOS9 to OSX).

3. Would you say that the way AmigaOS manages screens and windows needs rethinking since since modern graphics cards cannot support some of the tricks the custom chipset allowed? Or will screen-dragging somehow be re-implemented again later?

4. One great feature of AmigaOS is the ability to turn off the machine without needing a shutdown procedure - how easy will it be to preserve this as the OS is advanced further?

5. Have you any thoughts on a scripting language for future OS versions - will ARexx be developed or are you thinking of a completely different alternative?

6. Would you be willing to use open-source code for some parts of the OS (such as Regina for ARexx) in the same way that Apple does?

Two simply questions:

1- OS4 for Blizzard PPC out this year 2005?
2- OS4 Blizzard PPC support the A1200 customs chips (for example for playing games/demos without UAE)

thanks

Are you guys going to come out with any original games (either for Linux, Amiga or
Mac)? I think that would kick.

- Thinking back to the begining of the project, has it turned out as expected?

- Assuming indefinite future development, Can you tell us the basics of the current development roadmap?

- What development is left to be finished before the final release of Amiga OS 4.0?

- Where is my handheld Amiga OS device!?

- Is the Mystery Device bigger than a bread box?

Q1: Any chance that OS/4 will be released in 2005?

Q2: What do you think about Apple's switch to Intel and what do you think this means to Hyperion and the Amiga community at large?

1. Do you think that by Apple going to switch to Intel CPU's, will it harm the future of AmigaONE or that will be like having more adventage to use PPC's processors and offer something that no one else will be able to offer to the world?

2. Is it possible that in the future, when proper motherboards are available, the AmigaOS 4/AmigaONE will be able to use the all new CELL processor? The one that PS3 uses?

3. If so, what are your plans for the future graphic capabilities of the AmigaONE/OS4? Are there any kind of plans for support for nVidia GeForce cards or something?

4. What about the games for AmigaONE? Originals would be better, but i wouldn't mind seeing more PC ports like the ones that i usually play and would love to see on the Amiga, running MUCH faster and looking A LOT NICER than their Windoze counterparts. Doom 3, Homeworld, Homeworld Cataclysm, Homeworld 2, Call of Duty, Need For Speed Underground 2, Hald Life 2, Quake 3 (or the future Quake 4), etc, etc...

Now that there's been 3 direct answers from Hyperion people on this thread to date, does that mean only 17 questions will be answered now?

Augh! Don't answer that! (Just in case )

You need another one to play when the computer is actually ready to use.
Maybe add more for malfunctions and then we'll have music all day.

The REAL Hyperion 20 questions
( That everyone is afraid to ask )

1. Whats the mystery device then?
2. What is the mystery device?
3. The mystery device, what is it?
4. OS4 exists on AmigaONE and the old PhaseV junk, now we need to move forward, you said it would get ported and indeed has, something called the 'mystery device', what is it?
5. Devices mysterious, explain thy selection?
6. Now you have explained the mystery device, when will it be released?
7. That mystery device sounds neat, where can I buy it?
8. Devices that are mysterious when explained often surprise. So can I have it yet?
9. Can I use my cut out cornflake box coupon from Amiga Inc against the new mystery device?
10. When will OS4 go head on with Windows?
11. OS4, its good, sure, and its on PPC, sure, but when will it beat linux, go head on with Windows and annoy Steve Jobs?
12. Will you release OS4 for PearPC so I can use it on my PC based laptop?
13. OS4 should get released for that open firmware emulator thingy on Linux! Oh yes, it was meant to be a question, let me rephrase...
14. Can I have OS4 on the hardware you explained already needs a license first?
15. Why are you being so negative about the chances of it appearing on the hardware you already explained that requires a license?
16. On May 3rd, 2001, Ben Hermans said this. Then on August 14th 2002 he said that, what is the meaning of this! Are you trying to trick us? Are you the spawn of satan himself!
17. Can someone pass my pillbox please, I forgot to turn my proxy anonymizer on before I flamed the 'triumvirate' on Moobuny?
18. Why didn't Petunia get called something more Manly, like oooh 'CricketBox'?
19. Can you port a,b,c,d,e,f,g,h,i,j,k,l,m,n,o,p to OS4 by Friday, please ( or else )?
20. I managed to get a question selected, and I'd like to sound intelligent, reasonable and the like so I can get a job as your head of PR later on. Tell me, if I massage your neck like this does it improve my employment prospects?

@Wiffy

It was too easy to find the Mystery Device... Just searched for Mystery Device on google, and used the information that the device might be something embedded... the must be the Mystery Device
