@Rogue,

Thanks for all the hard work.

I'm looking forward to buying a copy for my A4K, although I'm disappointed by the limitations of the Mediator implementation, which means no soundcards, no fast ethernet, no USB, no TV cards, in fact only graphics cards and 10Mb/s ethernet.
Do you know if Elbox are involved in any OS4 development to sort this out?

Regards

Rich

Terratec128i doesn't require DMA.

But I don't know if anyone is planning to make an OS4 driver for that.

Elbox should make a clean DMA implementation or provide new drivers to their users.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't only the A1200 versions of the Mediator that used the gfx memory for DMA hack ? If so Mediator A4/3000's with DMA shoulnd't be a problem.

That's fantastic news. I like the boot floppy idea - old tech to get to new tech.

All you B/CSPPC owners are going to have a very good early XMas present!

I like the fact that Hyperion is thinking 'what the hell' with the court case. How long before they get back on track with their ACube related release?

Heh, it's funny how every time there's some positive news, certain individuals always have to do some nitpicking about it. The fact that 3rd party OS4 developers don't speak for Hyperion in the forums has nothing to do with Hyperion management asking one of them who attends a show to make an announcement for Hyperion.

That's exactly what the judge did by denying the preliminary injunction request of Amiga Inc. Since then Hypeion can continue business as usual while the court case lasts, they released an update to AmigaOne users, and releasing the classic version is no different, it's all covered by their contract.

RELEASE IT!

Rogue, any word on the native PPC driver for the X-Surf? You've had the 68K source code (C with core loops in assembly) for years...

@Wiesel

There are a few seasoned third party OS4 developers by now, you could see if any of them are interested in that work. I get the impression that Hyperion have their hands full.

Slightly off topic, will Hyperion be releasing any games in the near future.

Not very likely at this moment, we're too busy with AmigaOS

@umisef

A rather pitiful attempt from you. I wonder what is happening that you have to resort to such transparency.

Anyway...

I was asked by the management of Hyperion to find someone willing to make the announcement on Amiwest, which I did. As such, for this specific occasion Bill and Steven where officially asked by Hyperion to announce this. Likewise, there will soon be an appropriate press release on the Hyperion web site.

And to give the conspiracy theories a bit more food, I am also the webmaster of that site...

So, sorry to disappoint you. Not that I'd care.
