| It was tinhead ned, someone set croc dundee on him!
OK, sorry, I shouldnt be flippant but you are going to have a real problem catching this guy it was nicked thinking it was a PC. The person who nicked it will put it back when he tries to run Doom 3 on it.
Ok ok ok that was equally flippant, sorry Doug, hope you get it back, without dents, not burned out in the field without many miles on the clock.
Dammit, what is it with me this morning? |

| Bas#####. I'll keep my eyes peeled on Ebay as well as Computer Trader. There is also the Trading Post website which may show up something. Let's hope. _________________

| I have to admit that I have a small measure of pity for the dim-witted prick that nicked this. Doug (AnythingAmiga) has just alerted the majority of the .au Amiga users to be on the lookout for a really distinctive system. I'm gonna laugh myself silly when I see him trying to sell it on eBay...

P.S - Any chance of a picture of some type to see what we're looking for? _________________ logicalheart wrote: You know that pretty sound you play when the computer starts? | Sad thing is, once the perp realizes it's not an intel box running windows, he'll just toss it in a ditch somewhere.
Meanwhile, an irreplaceable computer with irreplaceable upgrades is missing, and will probably never be found, so it's lost forever.
Hope it was insured for a lot. |

| #### Thats quite alot to get stolen. Sorry that didnt realy help. Like the others i will try my best to help and keep my eyes peeled. But unfortunatly, if there are a good theif they will probly break it down and sell the parts individualy. Sorry that didnt realy help either.
But do not worry as what is lost can be found coz that is the way of life.
Have you made this news ad on other forum sites ie. EnglishAmigaBoard - Amiga.org We need to spread the word as much as we can.

| This brings back haunting pains of when I sold my A1200 in 1997. I shipped it with everything including a monitor, 1230 accelerator + memory and tons of software in two large boxes. It was sent via UPS and was to be cash on delivery. Welp, the dimwit at the shipping desk of the store I sent it from filled out the forms incorrectly and when it was received all that was requested from the buyer was the cash for shipping costs. There went my $800 right out the window. I spent months trying to get the jerk on the other end to pay up, but he never would. UPS tried to help me, but the shipping store never would claim responsibility, so it was a total loss.
In retrospect, it must have been the universe telling me that I had ditched a great computer. |

| @ Doug..
Sucks big time...
I'm in the transport industry .. I assume you have placed a claim for lost goods ?
Doesn't help you or your customer though !!
@ Everyone else ...
The Dork obviously thinks its an awesome pc .. Xavier cases weigh heaps... I got one too !!
Wait till the Dag switches it on... imagine him telling a mate down the pub .. " Here, i got this awesome pc.. wanna buy it.? "
they all steam round his house to eyeball it...
and..
You can viz one of em saying something like ..
"Do they make Frangers, HEAD sized"? _________________ ****************************************** I dont suffer from Insanity - I enjoy it

| reminds me of the time someone pilfered my "CD" case from the backseat of my car.
Im sure the criminal thought they obtained audio CD's
But no, It contained my favorite Amiga and PC cdroms
The *biggest* loss was the Cindema4D disc. Which seems to be irreplaceable at any cost. Not so much as an ISO to be found anywhere. _________________ wanted, used: cinema4D CD5.1

Sorry to hear this. I hope you had a 'custom' insurance policy.
I keep a eye out for anyone asking specific info on your A1200 tower.

| They obviously think it's a PC, so it will get sold via simple channels, e.g down at the pub, or a swap meet, rather than EBay or a something,
Eventually an end buyer will find it's not quite what they think, I hate to think what happens then.
