| So...ACK has given pricing on a 'higher end board,' although I don't care for literally everything to be on PCI in that case.
What is the main difference versus your 'higher end board'- availability, pricing, specs, features onboard, etc?
Looking forward to seeing a pic of Amy.. _________________ Are we not done with the same silly arguments and flames yet??!

| Nice to see a bit of friendly competition! let's see who gets to release their board first.
Hmmm, two sets of OS4-capable hardware progress reports within a few hours of each other. Bbrv blog post in 3... 2... 1... |

| Noticed the pulse GE and a google around leads you to this.

could it be based on this ? Last edited by JurassicC on 26-May-2006 at 07:46 AM.

| If you do a google with "7448 Tsi-109", you get lots of interesting stuff to read, nice.
@Troika

Which is very suspicious.I hope to mistake me but it seems that this announcement is an attempt to compete with ACK (wich maybe is also vaporware) with vaporware and keep the interest of amy05 _________________ No PowerPC, No Fun Make Amiga Great Again

Can't agree more. The whole news item could have been summarized in 1-2 sentences without skipping any content.

After much development we are happy to report that version 1.4 of Amy'05 is nearly complete. |
So after all still not even a prototype? Otherwise I am sure you would have shown us some photos. I see, you just announced them for the next announcement. |

| Even if they are/were/are not vapourware, competition is a good thing in that it will urge at least one of the parties that have offered us a solution an incentive to get a move on.
Good luck to you all and I hope to see progress reports from all parties fairly soon _________________ "I'm a firm believer in the philosophy of a ruling class, especially since I rule"

No offense, but I see a pattern here:
1) Announcement by a company 1a) Any number of people call for pictures. "It's vapor without it" 2) Company releases pictures 2a) Any number of people call for prototype hardware. "It's vapor without it".
Let's wait and see what 3) and 3a) will be. _________________ Seriously, if you want to contact me do not bother sending me a PM here. Write me a mail

You forgot to add that almost the same people didn't consider the Dragon to be as "vapourish" just because you can see the same old questionable pictures on their website since years. And they even accept every word from a childish man's "blog" without questioning.
@Topic:
Nice to see some progress, but why are these pictures are cropped? What are they hiding?
I see: "but our NDA does not permit this. " -> NDA with whom? Aren't Troika is the owner of the board? Last edited by Chip on 26-May-2006 at 10:35 AM.

Read the news item again. It says that they have found another board to license... You know, like the A1 was a licensed design that already existed. |
