Logic without facts is speculation.

PS. @Fleecy, you would do well to read Gary_c's comments. Even though people here seem to have missed it, he was arguing using logic rather than using any "facts". You can't argue against logical reasoning without looking foolish.

Somehow I think fleecy should know fleecy's situation better than someone who obviously has a problem with him. I wonder how many times xxx has been wrong .. sorry, thats "lied" to you, and "being inhonest". Speculation based on facts isnt helpful, and speculation *not* based on facts is hardly any better.

I'm not asking anybody to bash Amiga Inc. - but is it really neccessary to ask Fleecy if "all those fantasy stories" make him feel bad?

That some things are true at the core (and still have been spiced up) doesnt change the fact that there has been a lot of fud directed at Amiga. Question and answer are valid imho.

@drebben

He was arguing logic without using any facts?!

Yeah, you really can't argue with somebody who uses logic INSTEAD of facts!

FWIW - I think the real problem is that certain people ASSUME they know everything about certain issues, when infact they are basing their knowledge 75% on incorrect versions of the truth, and 25% on what they would like to be true, or what they THINK happened (IMHO). Personally, I try not to comment on issues I know very little (if anything) about, but this does not seem to be the case with some people - and the whole arrogance of the "I know best" attitude comes out.

I'm not saying that's neccessarily the case in this matter - but it certainly happens very regularly on computer forums - especially Amiga related ones.

-EDIT-: Moderators, this thread is now highly off topic - can comments be moved to another offshoot thread please?

Having the CTO of Amiga Inc. willing to answer questions on a regular basis is not only
very helpful and encouraging it adds real value to this site, as noted by the amazing number
of people now registered at AmigaWorld.net in such a short time. The ?proof is in the
pudding? as they say!.

A point for the moderators:
Please don?t be intimidated by this attack on your judgment and in particular ?allowing?
question one or any questions you see fit to be asked. It was a valid question and I was pleased
to read Fleecy?s answer, we are all human after all is said and done. Your moderation "style" is also
part of the reason this site is growing.

Fleecy:
Thanks for taking the time and sharing what insights you can with us and having the guts
to stay the course.

Green shirt? Not easy being green ya know?

Bah, what rubbish!

It was Gary_C who sent this thread down the track it is currently traversing by laying unfounded allegation at Fleecy's feet by mis readind what Fleecy actually said and flying off the handle with it.
If this was intentional or not remains to be seen, yet I have absoerved no attempts at an apology or even an admittance that he did misread.

It is probably time to lock this thread, I feel it is about to jump on the merry go round again.

It IS good to see not only fleecy, but several members of various companies being alot more active recently :)

No for this one you have to thank Bill McEwan, but I agree the terms are interchangable.

Then you are probably also amazed at the prevalance of (psuedo) executives running certain computers companies too. /pointing out the obvious

That's it Bodie - I think you've hit on a stunning idea!

Whenever you feel the urge to insult/scold somebody on amigaworld.net, just have a beer instead!

That way we only have a forum of raging alcoholics, rather than a forum of insulting g*ts!

yey, knew it would work. Right then, is beer now the discussion or more specifically drinking beer instead of arguing? Hmmm, beer normally leads to arguing though, I'm confused

LOL MegaHurts!

Always MUCH MUCH better to sit down and have a pint than to kill each other. Although it is true that some people cannot handle beer, I hate drunken louts
