| The popular AROS distribution Icaros Desktop has now reached version 1.2.2. This updates bring better classic Amiga HW emulation with the newest Janus-UAE, includes many new programs and fixes and, above all, can be installed on USB pendrives, which can be used to boot most modern motherboards and laptops. Icaros Desktop 1.2.2 acts like usual updates (so it can be installed loading the ISO with Icaros' Live Updater), but it can also boot by itself like AROS nightly builds.

Part 1: Amiga Faces
We have a winner!
At least 13 people managed to correctly identify more than 100 Amiga faces and therefore the AmigaWorld moderators were called in to choose the outright winner.

A few members of the Natami Team had a little party in Holzgerlingen, Germany last weekend and tried out some software on the prototype Natami LX board, which currently is under system bring-up.
The Natami LX shows good compatibility even during this early stage of system implementation.

Software Hut has teamed up with GVP to deliver new 060 boards for the
A4000 and A2000 computers. These accelerators are new with scsi and
take standard 72 pin ram modules.
Software Hut now also has new 4mb and 16mb custom GVP proprietary
simms in stock.

Ranger 1.48 has introduced support for the latest AmigaOS hardware platforms. Both the AmigaOne X1000 and the Sam460ex new Amiga hardware platforms are recognized.
Ranger is a system diagnostic tool meant to aid developers and advanced users in querying aspects of their system.
