With AmiWest 2009 on October 16 through the 18th in Sacramento, California, it's just 2 and a half months away. Time to start making your plans to attend! This year will be a different show from the last few years with a number ways: a Classic Clinic Friday night, seminars, and a show floor open both Saturday and Sunday.

The MorphOS development team is proud to announce the public release of MorphOS 2.3, a free update for users of MorphOS 2.2, 2.1 and 2.0. In addition to numerous bug fixes, MorphOS 2.3 includes additional optimizations and new features such as configuration options for the MorphOS display engine, useful utilities for the screen bar and read-only support for HFS+ formatted volumes. The download area of the Amiga Future homepage has been updated again.
There are new full versions online.
(Blast Squad, Excellent Card Games, Mirko Mortal Tennis, Starbirds, Zerberk....)
New downloads are highlighted in the download database. Additionally there is an overview of new downloads at the lower border of the download page.
Furthermore there have been updates to the descriptions and screenshots of some downloads.

Version 2.1 adds the ability to view/play direct links and play/downlaod video's from sites like YouTube.com, vids.myspace.com, etc. (See below for details.)
A small OS4 utility which uses 'wget' to download webpages and files pointed to by HTTP: and FTP: protocal URL's that reside in the clipboard. Additionally it can play/view or save direct link graphics, audio, video and postscript (PDF etc.) files as well as files on sites such as YouTube and Myspace. Playback and viewing requires "AmiGS", "Multiview" and optionally "getvideo" and "Mplayer (read docs about version required)".

Version 1.1.3 of the popular AROS distribution Icaros Desktop has been released. It includes updated system files and the initial release of the long awaited USB stack Poseidon. Icaros Desktop 1.1.3 is available as a single DVD-Live ISO or as a update CD. Users of Icaros Desktop 1.1.2 can update their system using LiveUpdater.
