Individual Computers at CeBit, Clone-A presentation on march 31st |
| Events posted by Wiesel on 9-Mar-2007 12:32:40 (18343 reads) |
| Individual Computers is present at the world's biggest computer fair CeBit twice this year: Viprinet GmbH shows the Multichannel VPN Router. Individual Computers was significantly involved in the development of the router, which lets you bundle up to six physical broadband lines into a single virtual dedicated line. This increases bandwidth, but also increases reliability of your internet connection up to 99.99% annual mean availability - better and cheaper than any regular dedicated line could offer. Viprinet has booth number E48 in hall 14.

Amiga Magazine Rack launched! |
| Internet News posted by Duke on 8-Mar-2007 9:20:22 (3017 reads) |
Finally after more than 2 years, Amiga Magazine Rack, the ultimate Amiga magazines website, has been launched!
Some interesting stats:
Total reviews: 29703 Total page scans: 21166 Total reviews with page scans: 12532
We are keen to fill all gaps in the site, so if you have anything we are missing (coverscans - eg CU May 1990, disk scans etc) please let us know!
Because the site is brand new, there are bound to be a few bugs! Please bear with us and we will try and fix them as they are reported. There will be a few more pages added over the next few days aswell.
The Hall of Light will soon have all the reviews for each game on the game information pages too.
One other thing to be aware of, to stop massive leeching you will be limited to 100 images viewed per day for the moment. We will monitor the leeching and tweak this when we find out how much of RCK's traffic it is chewing up! Please report any problems here for the time being!
On with the show! Enjoy!

RockBEAT 2.1 released |
| Software News posted by jahc on 7-Mar-2007 5:00:12 (4699 reads) |
RockBEAT 2.1 is now available for AmigaOS4 users. The community has been so good to me over the years, that I've decided to make RockBEAT FREEWARE effective immediately!
What is it??
RockBEAT is a simple software drum machine for AmigaOS4. It is a tool for musicians that allows you to create drumming tracks. It can create multiple tracks, each one being 4x 4/4 measures with 16th notes. You can save individual tracks as wav files, or the whole thing as one big song. You can drop in your own 16bit stereo 44100Hz PCM WAV samples in the drumsamples/ folder if you like.

What's this then? 'Later this month it will show off a "new breed" of gaming PC.'
Just a souped up PC or the basis of something more? What a shame the Amiga rights are not in the hands of CBM - I never thought I'd say that!

Just read this from Wikipedia:
"Richard Joseph was a computer game composer, musician and sound specialist. He has had a career spanning some 20 years starting in the early days of gaming on the C64 and the Amiga and onto succeeding formats through to the present day.
After being diagnosed with lung cancer, he passed away on March 4, 2007."

Requiescat in pace, Richard. Your music will live forever.
