The world's first interactive 3D display has been developed by IO2 Technology.
( From bink.nu ) HelioDisplay creates 3D displays in the air using lasers, drawing input from computers, TVs and DVDs. It also allows interactive applications to be controlled by a finger, instead of a mouse.

| hardware OS4 posted by GazSP on 21-Aug-2005 22:08:20 (2652 reads) |
The RealityDesign website is now back up. I'd like to apologise to everybody for the long delay in getting the site sorted. I've just been really busy lately.
It's due for a major upgrade soon, which will hopefully happen within the next couple of months. Thanks to everybody for their patience.
The link is http://planet-retro.com/realitydesign/.

Terratec Aureon 5.1 Fun and Sound Card summary |
| Miscellaneous News posted by DaveAE on 20-Aug-2005 21:35:05 (21922 reads) |
Terratec Aureon 51. Fun (and Sound Card A1 Summary)
The CMI8738 based Aureon 5.1 Fun was succesfully tested with the CMI8738 AHI driver. I've added digital out support in version 5.7 of the driver (on OS4depot), however I couldn't get the digital in to work, even after copying the same register settings as found on the PC. I've contacted Terratec on this, so I hope they can help.

Olivier Laviales released a new beta version (download) of his open source project Feelin.
"Feelin is a new object-oriented system (OOS) for the AmigaOS. It provides two things: A small shared library, fast and powerful (the object-system core), offering everything needed to create a complete object-oriented environnement; And an extensible system to create and maintain GUIs."

RockBEAT released - software drum machine |
| Software News posted by jahc on 19-Aug-2005 10:11:08 (5903 reads) |
RockBEAT v1.0 Released
What is it? - RockBEAT is a simple software drum machine for AmigaOS4. It is a tool for musicians that allows you to create drumming tracks. It can create multiple tracks, each one being 4x 4/4 measures with 16th notes. You can save individual tracks as wav files, or the whole thing as one big song. You can drop in your own 16bit 44100Hz PCM WAV samples in the drumsamples/ folder if you like.
Import your drums into Audio Evolution and lay some vocals and guitar tracks down beside them, or just jam along. Great for the bedroom guitarist!
