Try http://www.hyperion-entertainment.com :)

It will get it's own URL later, we just didn't want to keep it under wraps any longer.

Edit: Still no spell checker

VERY well written I must say, both content and language wise!! Great work

This is the page that was needed. There were no other page one could point newcomers and oldies to for some real professional up-to-date info about Amiga. Now there's a site I can proudly point people to regarding Amiga Forums are not a great source of info for ppl who only want to know what Amiga is about and what Amiga is today.

Seems everybody has made a comment or two (Helgis has made SEVERAL)
So I'll make one to..

Great site! Looks simple yet sofisticated good color choice and nice language.
But no info on hardware it runs on?!? I hope in the future some pages will be
dedicated to the hardware OS4 runs on?!?

@Helgis

Chill out! You don't have to offend people because they don't think like you.
You didn't think it was fun when when others made fun of you. Treat people
like you want to be treated yourself!

@Samwell

I appreciate the point of people treating each other the right way,
but i'm simply referrying to the new site that what Hyperion says
about AmigaOS, is right in every aspect...

I'm not angry or something. I'm just fine. Don't worry

Looks very nice... I hope we can celebrate OS4 final very soon with some pints

It would be nice to have an official site called amigaos.com or amigaos4.com

>>I'm very interested in the claims of hardware flexibility, does this mean Hyperion have been working and testing on boards other than the AmigaOne, do tell please.

>Yes, we did.

Please spill some more beans

Good work guys ! Who did the work on this (the site, I mean...) ?

Martin

Why has no-one mentioned this bit yet?

Memory protection is an option, but can be switched off to maximise performance for safe environment embedded applications.

Did I miss something along the way when this was announced, or is everyone else still asleep? ISTRT memory protection was one of the big bones of contention over the updated OS4...

Where? I'll get my flight tickets book immediately!

And lastly (for the time being!) what on Earth is someone from Cap Gemini talking about the Amiga for? Was it just an aside as part of another presentation, or was it some specifically commissioned research?

Hands up who's more excited than Helgis now?

"Improved kernel: Memory protection, virtual memory," said on site .. but can anyone explain what is it mean ? As i understand os4 do not have memory protection. Only protect zeropage and some kernel place, but user space can still ####edup yourelf, no ?

Wasn't it stated ages ago that OS4 can enforce full memory protection, but it
hasn't been enabled in the form we run on our desktop due to backwards
compatibility?

I may be mistaken, but that's the way I've always read it.

You may be 'fine,' but you were flaming, and may well have gotten others angry. So is it ok if THEY are not 'not fine.' Go back and read post 115 edits. Further trolling within a week's time will result in a 'vacation.'

People, we can disagree or aruge without resorting to name-calling.

sorry about that, did not know of the new site until to day, looks nice and Hyperion works is always it's best!

I think the web site is interesting, from sales point of view, what is lacking is a link is the support side of it,
login for downloads of updates and so on,

[edit: stupid me ]

This is so embarrasing. It happened to seem that i accidently called
one upon name that is not allowed in a public forum. It wasn't mean
to do any harm, but of course i'm sorry about that. Not always easy..

It's a great start guys, only two things missing:

1. OS4 release date or ... "Os4 is released!" :D

2. Announcement of new hardware you can actually buy that it is licensed to run on...major spoiler right now :-/

Keep it up.

edit: I especially like the sidebar feature intended to highlight aspects of the OS, a good idea to catch people to delve deeper.
