A new version of WinAROS is available.
The virtual Harddisk is contains two partitions.
A 20MB Partition with Fast File System (FFS), that contains only the Boot Files.
And a 480MB Partition with Smart File System (SFS) that contains a fresh AROS setup.
WinAROS does not contain Extra apps, just what comes with AROS.
If you want to Install extras Apps, you can use

After more than 2 years in development, we have finally launched the new ExoticA website. Although some areas are a bit rough around the edges, most is ready to be browsed, and of course as a wiki based site, visitors are welcome to submit corrections and new information.
The site has more than 8000 pages of content, and is a gerat source for amiga game music, box scans, and other items of interest.

I have released a plug-in for XAD that allows decrunching of most 7-Zip (7z) archives through UnArc (there are some that won't be supported yet)
This is a turbo-charged version, for both 68k and PPC AmigaOS with xadmaster v12+
If you downloaded the previous slow test version you can update to this one through AmiUpdate.

ffmpegGUI v1.1 has just been released on OS4Depot. Get it here!
Significant changes include a new tap page for setting Crop, Pad and Pad color setting. A bug with the Start Offset was also corrected.
ffmpegGUI is a GUI for the ffmpeg program.
It supports some basic options via the GUI and allows the user to add additional options
via a command line string gadget. This approach allows full use of ffmpeg's features
directly from the GUI interface. Hopefully this approach make the interface attractive to
both the novice and power user. It also allows for incremental development of the GUI.

This news is damn big! Michael Grunditz has just released a public beta version of SimpleMail Light 0.32, AROS' first email client. I have already downloaded and installed it on my VmwAROS test snapshot, and it works quite fine. Screenshot. It's still at beta stage, though, so there are some glitches that have to be fixed, however AROS has now a full email client, and this his an important step for its every-day use.
