Marcik announced a brief update concerning development of KHTML for MorphOS. It is said that the first public beta version is scheduled on the beginning of September but you need to be aware that the date could be as well postponed a bit until October. Marcik confirmed that parts of the code which are not covered by LGPL licence are not going to be published. MorphOS version of Sputnik will be available for free. Marcik also claims that the last version is the most stable browser he had ever used on MorphOS. More information here.

Another small update of PSPUAE.
From pspupdates:
Quote:
| The 0.53 release only has one minor upgrade from the previous one, but it's one that surely helped out made playing some games a lot easier. This version added a drive speed option to improve performance on some games, though it doesn't do the same service for all the games emulated. Still, any upgrades are good, and we can be thankful for their hard work and time spent making the emulator. |

The legendary Amiga musician Bjorn Lynne, also known as Dr.Awesome/Crusaders has been making a living out of his music for the past 15 years. Now, Guru Meditation has brought almost every single release he has ever made into stock.
If you're into electronic/ambient/fantasy/groove/jazz, then this might be for you!
The music section
In the coming weeks, we'll add more and more titles to this newly opened section in our store, all with a clear, Amiga-related vein - so if this is your thing, keep your eyes open.

AmigaOne Linux kernel 2.6.16.27 |
| hardware OS4 posted by Geri on 11-Aug-2006 16:51:41 (4395 reads) |
I uploaded a 2.6.16.27 Linux kernel on amigaone-linux.sourceforge.net
Currently this kernel version comes without floppy support. This may also be the last 2.6.x kernel that supports the AmigaOne, until the platform code was ported from the ppc architecture to the new powerpc architecture (IIRC support for non coherent cache architectures will be removed in 2.6.18).

WookieChat 2.3 released |
| Software News posted by jahc on 11-Aug-2006 5:25:46 (2771 reads) |
WookieChat now has support for different languages, using Amiga's LOCALE system. So far, Mariusz Danilewicz (aka Mandi^ATO) has done a polish catalog, and Tommy Strand (aka Alef) has done a norwegian catalog. There's brief instructions in the Catalogs/ dir on how to create your own catalog for your native language. I'm expecting WookieChat catalogs to be typed up by 3rd parties and uploaded to aminet in the coming weeks/months! If you make one, feel free to email it to me for inclusion with the next release.
Read the changelog.txt for the full list of tweaks and bug fixes. One bugfix in particular has enabled Wookie to run on OS4 beta with the new memory system.
Both OS3.x and OS4 binaries are in the same archive.
What does this program do?
It allows you to connect to Internet Relay Chat networks (IRC!) and chat with other users in a text medium in real-time. Some of the server groups are preconfigured to join an Amiga chat channel upon sucessful connection.
WookieChat requires MUI + the custom classes: betterstring.mcc, nlist.mcc and nlisttree.mcc.
Get it from os4depot as I'm unable to upload files to my web space currently. It should be ready for download soon!
Register at my homepage for $15 usd! Or if you're too poor, dont worry about it because WookieChat is not crippled in any way!
