The sheer volume and exuberance of the gusher released
by this announcement has had me bemused and thinking of
the story about the king's new clothes. Must have been
some nervousness around?

Of course I looked. It's a nice piece of window dressing
with some interesting, and in places, challenging descriptions
of the king's new clothes. Hyperion have taken a measure
to ensure that reviewers know what to look for when OS4 is
released. Specially provocative is the bit that goes:
"The options get more interesting when you really play around."

There is mention of some further additions to the site
and when OS4 is released the clothes will be there to
try on. Whether others than the courtiers see them is
the question and hope.

There are clothes there alright - that's already been proven!
The question is; Will it be available in all sizes?
You'll have to try it on and see how you like the fit.

Cheers,
Bean.

P.S. Got a good fit here.

Very nice site it's exactly what we have needed for some time. Getting people interested again with the Amiga is very important and this site hopefully will spark some interest outside our community.

Could any of the Hyperion guys be able to tell me has your inbox had a few extra mails in it since the launch of the OS4 site?

It would be nice to know what sort of interest they have had so far. (I know its a bit early)

OK than I want to have AOS4 on my Sharp Zaurus 5500 or Sony Clié UX50 or Sony Ericsson P990i (will be my next GSM)

No honestly there was talk in some forii about a PDA with PPC where AOS4 should be running. Actually I would like to have the IBM PPC PDA reference design running AOS4.

Will we actually see PDAs with AOS? Most companies do stop selling PDAs in Europe and USA because smartphones do sell in much higher quantities.

Sony and Sharp have stopped selling PDAs, Palm is selling PDAs with Mobile Windows and Windows PDAs don't reall sell that much, except thos with integrated navigation system.
But that my mobile phone does better, because it has integarted traffic informations for free.

"We needed to ensure that the site works properly on the current Amiga browsers without sacrificing quality which rules out full compliance with the current W3C guidelines."

Ehm really following w3c rules (HTML 4.0 Transitional) you can realize the same site rispecting these rules and giving a good result (the same result) even to Amiga browsers...
If you set w3c validator from xhtml to html transitional and check os4's homepage you see less error than one (46)... it's olny an example...in addition to this the 93 errors are "distraction errors" and you can find easily solution...I want offence nobody, I post these my reply olny for helping to better than one

"Believe me that working for a CSS-capable browser would have been much easier and would have ended up with zero errors as well, but sadly, we don't have that yet."

I know very well this ;-((
but believe me you, the 93 errors are very simple to resolve and it should be a good (dandy?;-D) idea to show a w3c banner which show a sort of professionality (I don't want say that os4'site is not professional, I like very much it!), I hope to be wrote well my think...

Good Work and thanks for this site

Does it really matter if it isn't strictly 100% W3C???

Personally, it works fine on all browsers including the current crop of Amiga browsers.

Can you imagine the uproar if it HADN'T Worked on Amiga Browsers? I think it's a neat site - well done to the webmaster.

Hey! Crisots' last video demo needs a link right on the main page! How could this be missed?
An awesome display that would totally give credence the the text files that non Amiga users and uneducated potential OEMs might not fully visualize! Put it up ASAP! Please!!!

Indeed but it was Danny Kaye's song that went through my head.
He used king's because it scanned better. Google on "The king's
new clothes" got 700 odd hits, many quite entertaining.
Google with emperor's etc got 510000 hits!
