It says 'transfer and sale' in the press release so, yep, they've sold it all. I wonder exactly what Amiga Inc have kept, bar the name.

Good or bad?

Only time will tell....

This might be good news for the Pegasos-people though, AOS4 might get a chance to be ported to Peg now, when there is no personal business involved.
Just speculating a bit

Entilzha

Honeytalk? I spent 3 hrs playing with an A1 and OS4 this weekend. I tried to be polite...

It crashed so many times it was astounding.. the window redraws are really slow (due to 68k gfx) , bah I wont go on. Its unstable and Alpha imo.

YOU know and I know that it will take you at least 6months to get a commercial packaged version out the door. This is the fact of the matter. Why not be honest and let people know this?

I am not trying to make enemies. You guys are very talented and its a monumental task. However, I really feel that Hyperion and Genesi should reach an agreement for mutual development or porting OS4 to Peg. You know you will not catch MOS at this point...

Oh, and we all know the reason for this "sale" is to make certian legal proceedings much more difficult.

realize

so, you said no honeytalk - there you have it

ps.. if i dont speak in honey talk then i get banned/moderated here

Why cant we discuss the TRUTH and FACTS openly?

*sigh

skyraker, you really ought to get some professional help to overcome your paranoia. Just because he didn't tell the world about the business deal (why the hell should he?), that doesn't mean he's out to trick you.

@The Hyperion boys

I see the twins are out in full force slashing FUD with their lightsabers so I thought I'd ask you a couple of questions.

1. In your eyes is this good for the Amiga as we know it?

2. In bbrv's eyes, is this good or bad?

-Peter

Why is everything here about bbrv? It should be about the technologies we are working with not the personalities involved. NO ONE here ever talks about the Core MOS programmers or anything... its always Billy Buck this, bbrv that, billy boy , blah blah blah

boring..

lets have some real talk about development and hardware issues and ending the "war"

However, as you now clearly see, he's with KMOS and Bill McEwen is still the CEO of Amiga.

He's with KMOS now, but this says nothing about what his position when he was reportedly attending trade shows as an Amiga, Inc. staff member. Also, the press release says that Amiga, Inc. made the sales agreement with "Itec LCC," which was "acquired" by KMOS, which is headed by Garry Hare. So things are not so simple, and it's a bit early to say "as you now clearly see," at least in my opinion.

I believe that would be because everyone else at Genesi (the hardware guys who developed the Pegasos I and 2 as well as the April chips, and the software guys busy writing MorphOS) just stick to their jobs and do as good a job as they can. They let their work speak for them. If anyone ever accuses Gerald Carda of not knowing what he's doing, Gerald can just silently point at the Pegasos I and II and smile. Same thing with Laire and everyone else (except maybe Neko ). Bill Buck makes himself a target because he loves to stir up trouble online. I've lost count of the number of times he's posted something ambiguous and just stood back while the fur flew. Every single time it would have been easy for him to say, "wait, you guys have it all wrong - THIS is what I meant to say" but somehow he only steps in once in a blue moon. If that's how he likes to amuse himself that's fine, but people who start foodfights will end up with cream pie on their hair.

Ah, but what "everyone knew" was that Garry was supposed to be the CEO instead of Bill McEwen. I don't think it was seriously disputed that Garry worked at Amiga Inc (fanboys excluded), just that he had taken over.

At the Big Bash?

The one that the reviews so far say "I never saw it crash, it is a lot more stable than it used to be"?

I was also under the impression that Hyperion had sorted out the graphics.library issues to some extent at least by now.
