| I have to say that I didn't expect hardware compositing or Cairo support nearly so soon - especially if it really is heavily integrated. But that may also mean compatibility problems...
edit: I hope that there's a fall-back mode for those without the required 3D gfx card. Last edited by ChrisH on 11-Jul-2008 at 10:36 PM.

I don't think that the Classic Machines will be supported ( and i agreed with them ), if you read the announce there is written :

I don't think classics would have enough 'grunt' for this release. As I said on IRC earlier, the BVision is already screaming

| Sounds nice! I'd pretty much completely given up hope on the possibility of any good news. Now all we need is for the court case to get resolved so that new hardware can be sold, and we can finally get on with stopping the bleeding. |

I agree... I suspect that part of the reason the release is called "4.1" is to draw a line in the sand with respect to the past and the future. We can't expect older hardware to hold back progress indefinitely, especially when said older hardware is both rare and very expensive. Yes, I realize the irony of my statement with respect to AmigaOne hardware. |
