Theres a few problems with the images, because the OS3 datatypes I used dont seem to support transparency, or work at all with some of my png images, but I dont know much about OS3 datatypes, so I released it as-is. There's still a link on the SabreMSN page with the IFF ILBM images with the non transparent white backgrounds. No time for mucking around with images anymore.
I'll work on the AROS version next.

A new version of SabreMSN has been released. 0.68 alpha brings the ability to select your own avatar, fixes various bugs and has a slight UI change.
At the time of posting, only an OS4 package is available.
