Lua 5.1 for OS4 with dynamic library support |
| Software News posted by ssolie on 27-May-2006 23:47:06 (4547 reads) |
You'll find an updated Lua 5.1 on OS4Depot which includes dynamic library support.
This means it is now possible to extend Lua with a ReAction tookit for example without modifying Lua itself. It is also possible to add a Lua interface to any existing AmigaOS library like ARexx was added to some libraries in days gone by. This is accomplished by adding an Exec Interface named "lua" to whichever library you want to be Lua compatible and adding code to convert to and from the world of Lua. A skeleton library is provided as an example.

New version of OS4-TiMidity (0.5) |
| Software News posted by alfa on 27-May-2006 18:53:57 (2652 reads) |
After the very postive response to the release of the OS4-port of TiMidity, I've worked away. What I've done: - added two tabs in the GUI "Effects" and "Other" to gain acces to near all options of TiMidity thru the GUI - added a text-output in the program-window, to avoid the extra Workbench-Window - added a playback-volume slider in the Controls-window - changed the Control-window somewhat, (has no longer a dragbar, but is moveable by click/move anywhere in the window besides any gadget) - altered the memory-handling somewhat to gain somewhat more stability.
You can get the new version here: TiMidity 0.5 download

Welcome to my new website for Amiga developers: I have finally managed to open an internet online shop. The main attraction is Cubic IDE, integrated development system for AmigaOS and MorphOS. The site can be found here:
http://shop.dietmar-eilert.de
It is a preliminary site and will soon move to a dedicated domain. For now, it's in a corner of my private home page and server limitations do not permit to upload everything (ie. some links to files don't work yet - sorry).

We thought a progress report was in order as we have some very good news. After much development we are happy to report that version 1.4 of Amy'05 is nearly complete. Our next progress report will contain lots of information about Amy, along with the much awaited Photo's!
For many of the first adopters of Eyetech Amiga One models, their needs and wants have grown past the specifications of the machines they are currently using and they wish to upgrade to a more modern motherboard design.

This is an IRC log of the 'ack on the fly' interview (round two). I did my best to put the questions and the answers in the correct sequence. So, please, forgive any mistakes. In the evening, there was a chat session regarding the new powervixxen name, but that is another story. Enjoy.
Breaking News: The highend board will be named "PowerVixxen TL" - Thunder & Lightning

AmiKit 1.1.4 UPDATE package available |
| Software News posted by AmiKit on 25-May-2006 8:53:13 (2357 reads) |
| This package provides complete support for creating and extracting ADF, ADZ and DMS image files thanks to TSGUI (Track Saver) program created by Thomas Rapp. It has been integrated into Directory Opus Magellan II as well so it is now possible to create images from disks by right-clicking on them. Or just doubleclick existing image file to extract it! For more options run TSGUI located in AmiKit:Tools/tsgui or use the start menu -> Tools -> Track Saver.

Amiga Future: New Full Versions Online |
| Software News posted by AndreasM on 24-May-2006 9:08:44 (2214 reads) |
We have approximately 15 new full versions in the download section of the Amiga Future homepage. We wish lots of fun with it.
If someone should know license holders of commercial games and applications or is even reading this, it would be nice to get in contact via email. Of course, we want to put a lot of more full versions in the long term on the Amiga Future homepage.
If someone would like to write descriptions for all those downloads (in English and German) we would be grateful if you contact us, as we are too busy to do it ourselves.
At this point we want to remind you that many old issues of the Amiga Future are available in our online shop beginning with just 1 Euro, and that issue 59 is nearly sold out.
